Number of desired plot: 16
Name of plot: AQUILAN EMPIRE
Capital: AQUILA PRIMA
Location of capital: -
Population: 40 – 60 trillion
Outline of History:

Terran colonists arrived in what is today Aquila some thousand(?) years ago. They are descended from Terran colonists who came from Terra, but eventually lost contact with them. Eventually, a powerful family, known as the House of Maximilian came to rule over Aquila Prima, the most populated colony in the region, and fought against non-Terrans who have inhabited the region generations before the arrival of the colonists. They eventually exerted their influence over other minor houses, becoming the most prominent family in Aquila and being proclaimed as Margraves of the West for the Dovians when Aquila was part of the Dovian Empire.

Eventually, the Maximilian dynasty grew tired of being part of Dovia and wanted to free themselves from Dovian suzerainty. These hopes for sovereignty were realized during the Vor-Arï Wars when Margrave Alexander III von Maximilian openly revolted against both claimants to the Dovian throne. A civil war ensued between the Maximilianists (after the House of Maximilian, the Imperial House of Aquila) and the Sandovists (after the House of Sandovï’i, the Imperial House of Dovia). After the Vor-Arï Wars, Aquila secured its sovereignty. With the pro-Dovian faction locked in the dungeons, Margrave Alexander III had little to worry about as he was crowned Alexander I, Kaiser of Aquila.

After a period of relative peace and prosperity, Aquila became involved in the Great Hundred Years’ War against a restored Dovian Empire. After the wars’ end, the two nations became close as they found themselves in the ruins of war and bloodshed. The two nations would then, despite several attempts at disruption, formed the Pan-Terran League, heralding a new age of peace and cooperation amongst Terrans in A1-0.

Outline of Major Species: Terrans/Humans.

I know it’s been months but evidently we never added this to the map. As such, this edit has been made.

Number of desired plot: 41
Name of plot: YKQ-2421
Capital: 2421-TEHA (System is named YKQ-0001)
Location of capital: See customization
Population: ~259 billion
Outline of History:

The YKQ-2421’s history can be traced back to a mysterious progenitor civilization that existed 15,300 years ago. While this civilization was powerful, using dyson swarms and having proper FTL across many of their worlds, it was destroyed about 13,900 years ago by a gradual incrase in spacetime anomalies, creating an environment somewhat less harsh than the badlands, albeit still dangerous for FTL and dangerous enough to cause the collapse of society on numerous worlds via interference with infrastructure and general society as a whole - things would just disappear and reappear with little explanation.

Over the thousands of years since the collapse of this progenitor civilization, its founder species - the varying robotic Qelua and the organic Ykate - have established many societies. Some have spread out across their home system, others have regressed in technology and only recently achieved FTL. Entire systems, including the home system of the Ykate, were lost, but in their place, new systems have risen to become prominent in its stead, ranging from ecumenopoli to divided nation-states.

The formation of the YKQ-2421 itself came with the reinvention of FTL - numerous societies found a serial number simply stating “YKQ-2421.” The meaning was unclear, but given this anomalous area of space’s dangers and conflicts, this serial number was leveraged to be used as a name for a united polity of the region. As this gained more serious consideration thanks to escalating tensions, the Anomalous Stars of YKQ-2421 were established as an intranational organization, and eventually consolidated into a loose league, with the planet named “2421-Teha” in the YKQ-0001 system becoming the foundation of a new capital as it was simply in between the seven founding systems of the Anomalous Stars.
Only recently have the Anomalous Stars of the YKQ-2421 reached out beyond their home space - their interest beyond this space was limited before recently as there was no motivation to go outside the ruins of the proto-YKQ-2421 civilization, as they provided protection via the anomalies present in the area.
Outline of Major Species: The two main species present in YKQ-2421 space are the Ykate, a bipedal species with four arms, skin colours in various shades of brown, beige, and spots and patterns of colours such as green, yellow, and red, a chitinous exoskeleton and a bony endoskeleton, four eyes, and split jaws, and their creations, the Qelua, who are divided into the Qelua-yta (androids who typically resemble Ykate, often only slight differences in appearance or even none at all), Qelua-yke (robots that, while resembling the Ykate via also being bipedal, otherwise resemble a Ykate in armour or are very clearly not Ykate-looking beyond their basic shape), Qelua-kye (does not resemble a Ykate at all), and the Qelua-tei (disembodied Qelua living in virtual spaces, whose appearances greatly vary).

Sorry I’ve taken so long to respond, I was just a little unsure about the spacetime anomalies. If you could just tell us a bit more about them and how they’d affect your plot, I’d appreciate it. I’m not really against creating environments not specified on the map, I think my main hesitation at the moment is having one plot where solar systems can just disappear and reappear, but everywhere else that doesn’t really happen (afaik)

Alright!! and oki
Space is warped into pockets and folds - space is expanded in one area, contracted in another. The geometry of these can generate temporarily stable bubbles and folds wide enough to envelop entire star systems, but this only happens as close to the badlands as possible - fully enveloped star systems are incredibly difficult to enter, but the pockets and folds are still only temporary and eventually dissipate.

Further away, systems are merely particularly tricky to enter - entire systems cannot be enveloped. This kind of environment dominates the YKQ-2421, rather than the extreme situation next to the badlands proper.

Number of desired plot: 18
Name of plot: OSPRIAN DOMINATE
Capital: Oraka (garden ecumenopolis; native Orrakara)
Location of capital: See Cindarion (star system; native Ts’kindaaryon)
Population: 86.3 trillion
Outline of History: The Osprian Dominate finds its roots in thousands of years or rich history on their homeworld of Oraka. The stars had always called to the Osprians as the embodiment of honour and the sprawling Osprian nations didn’t hesitate to flock to the stars. Yet, the new realities of governing a juvenile star nation proved quarrelsome with the discovery of the exotic mineral known as Skrailite. This mineral transformed Osprian society into a true star nation with the manipulation of gravitoelectromagnetic fields, allowing not only for artificial gravity, but also faster-than-light travel. This newly found application sparked the Stellar Flock, spreading numerous Osprian colonists across new independent nations.

As the colonies developed their own cultures, they began to clash with the ancestral ones from Oraka. Brutal conflicts arose and the Osprian civilisation faced extinction again in a maze of honourbound bureaucracy. It was under the leadership of Kaelrix’thar Kair’Skorr that the Great Unification reunited all Osprians under one rule in 10,362 BBT. The birth of the Osprian Dominate saw the return of widespread nobility in a manner unseen across the galaxy. The Osprian nobility is notably characterised not by mere birthright, but by the concept of honourhood following the Osprian Code of Honour, stipulated by the first Domirax Kaelrix’thar I. Osprian society reforged in such a way, that all aspects of life became honourbound with deeply traditional roots. Although ascribing the same honour, some Osprian races continue to emphasise the collective honour over that of the individual. Even democratic legislatures reformed, now known as Honour Councils, to not only govern, but to also grant honourhood to Osprians of great merit in all fields. In turn, members of the Honourhood may be selected by the Osprian people to serve as the governing nobility of the many constituent subdivisions of the Dominate.

Now, the Osprian Dominate stands as a proud & flourishing star nation with thousands of years of unity, prosperity, tradition & stability. An eidostate (a species-state) by design, the Osprian state aims to let the Osprian species flourish in all its forms. Although not dismissive of previous first contacts, the honourbound Osprians’ duties have largely kept them within the bounds of their dominion.

Outline of Major Species: The Osprians evolved from apex flightless birds on the vast savannas of their homeworld Oraka and continue to maintain their dominion across all the worlds they colonise. Due to strong bones and stolid feathers, the Osprians had little trouble to acclimatise to all corners of their homeworld and have proven remarkably versatile in their colonisation efforts, hunting on all kinds of prey with their heightened vision and depth perception. However, what truly characterises the Osprians is their honourable culture that stands proudly unlike anything else seen in the Sector, giving birth to a meritocratic nobility through elaborate codes of honour.

As the Osprians spread their wings across the stars, their many races diverged into several subspecies. These subspecies aren’t considered inferior by any measure, but an extension of the larger Osprian species. As such, the Osprian Dominate consists of a vast variety of Osprian offshoots each known for their peculiar appearances among which flourish the Skelarians, Korrathians, Kaeryxians & Nyxarians.

An Osprian High Admiral.

Customisation:
Preferably a white or red colour for the plot.

Hiya, can the rest of my plot be marked as the Voidsea (counter-spin to the compact) like so

you don’t need to add borders

  • Seraphina’s Rest is a station
  • Maestro is a capital world
  • Arc is a planet
  • Concordio is a planet
  • Spider’s Run is a station

if the voidsea could also be colored, make it fit in with the rest of the Sector

Can you color the rest of the of the non claimed areas as “independent settlements”

I think it looks a little funny without the extra color
