Outline of History: The Gil-Atarnië founded around 1500 BBT After the last of the 3 continental wars by the Empire of Calerost gaining control over the whole of Ilanor. FTL technology was discovered soon after. There are two civilization defining events in interstellar Calerostan history. The first was the discovery that Gil Miria, described in almost all calerostan religions as “the gateway to the relm of the gods” was a wormhole leading to a alternate dimension, Mirial space. This lead to a surge in religiousness, making calerost into a pseudo-theocratic state, as well as causing a great advancement in technology. The second was the Miraline war, lasting from 427 to 313 BBT. The miraline ware hybrids between edhelrim (Calerost’s main species) and the native creatures of mirial space. They ware taller, stronger, could handle more g force and had stronger telepathy. But they also had genetic memory of their ancestors, tormented by the Edhelrim, creating a strong hate against them. They created a genetic modification virus to acquire a sizable population and after secret buildup launched a surprise attack on Ilanor. The century long war resulted in the death of 30% of Calerost’s population and reshaped the culture. During this time first contact with Trianar and the god-born pact ware also established.
Outline of Major Species: The Edhelrim is a collective name for the multitude of subspecies inhabiting Calerost. They all share ancestry to the Velari and the gift of Cuivië, the inborn telepathic abilities of the Edhelrim. For more information, check The edhel subspecies thread
