Greetings, Citizens and Members of the Coalition of the South Pacific.
It may come as a surprise that I am running a campaign after having turned down a few election nominations, but well, sooner or later this day was bound to come.
In fact, this has been on my mind for a while now and I decided it was time to take a step forward.
Anyway, without further ado, let’s get to what really matters.
Head of State
I truly understand the need and importance of the apolitical stance that a Delegate must have, and I understand the role of a Head of State in representing not a policy, but the perpetual continuation of the Coalition, specially after some inconveniences in our history.
In short, the Delegate is not a political position, which is reserved for the Cabinet, and I understand and, obviously, will respect that.
Advice and Support
The Delegate has, in my view, a fundamental role in providing direct support and advice to the Cabinet when asked.
Of course, this also extends to all members and citizens of the region. It is important to be, as a Delegate, a “fraternal/maternal” symbol of the Coalition, not as someone who gives orders, but as someone who gives advice and helps those in need.
Recruitment
I believe that the Delegate sending recruitment TGs can cause an even higher conversion rate compared to people who are not directly in the government, and that is why, currently with access to the recruitment bot, I will double my efforts to recruit people to the Coalition, obviously under the supervision of the future Minister of Recruitment, or similar, and the Prime Minister themselves.
Fortnightly Briefings
As the current Delegate Griffindor/Ebonhand already does, I plan to continue with the fortnightly briefings. Since we currently do not have a government-run regional newspaper, nor even an independent newspaper, I think it would be interesting to maintain this function and this news program that reaches all residents of the region. It not only serves as a way to report on events, but also as a way to attract people to the forums and into the politics of the Coalition.
Of course, these telegrams will also serve, as they currently do, to publicize the need and importance of endorsing the Delegate and the Coral Guard; I would also be very happy to see more comments from the Cabinet about the news and add it to the telegram.
South Pacific Special Forces
This may seem strange and unusual, as I don’t imagine it to be a common practice, but I plan to show up at one or more SPSF operations at Libcord once a week to “cheer” for them. Of course I won’t participate directly, but I will be there as a figure, once again, as a symbol. The Delegate will be there to help motivate our brave Sailors and to cheer for their victory and, consequently, of our allies.
I feel that I must, in some way, thank our Navy for being so receptive to me, even though I was a mere Cadet, as it did and continues to do with so many others.
Gameside, Forums and Discord
The Delegate also serves as a liaison between all areas of the Coalition, and my goal is to be active in all areas and constantly talk about them in my telegrams: why people from one should join the others and the really cool things we have in them.
I feel that in some ways some governments have neglected one part over another, and I really want to make sure that this is not a problem, even if I can’t do anything in the “political-decision” sphere about it.
On this topic, I would like to add that I will, when the Minister of Culture, or similar, is not using it, use the polls to promote regional activity and interactivity. I also plan to use Discord, RMB, and Forums to promote news — like the launch of Fortnightly Briefings — and chat with people.
Conflicts of Interest
As puppets, only Planapolis is still “alive”. New Virifortis and, if I remember correctly, Virifortis Alt 1-10 CTEd;
Former Minister of Culture;
Former SPSF Cadet, although I have not officially resigned.
That is why I ask you to vote for me. Let’s make the Coalition even better and grander.
