Preversity Bias probably exists, so i’d be very biased

Is there a rules of war convention?

Do… We need to do that?

Not really. It’s not like it would work, and with military tech advancement on the rise for basically everyone it would need to be updated a lot

I mean, we could delineate some basic stuff, but it’s not like anyone would care after a certain point

Trianar probably wouldn’t care lol

I imagine each star nation has it’s own rules of war
That way if a foreign star nation breaks them they can justify ramping up the military effort

Whoever gets Æriel, the Republic is gonna pretty pissed as they view her as a collaborator, war criminal and a level 3 AI (dangerous, should be contained or destroyed) with the potential for level 4 (apovaliptic, must be destroyed at all costs). I really want to do an execution by firing squad using missle launchers.

Do a firing squad for the funni

This is the first time I’ve heard a firing squad be referred to as “funny”. This is terrifying without context

Silly funny mass execution
crazy_facecrazy_face

No right to talk sentient chair user

Not only a firing squad, a missile firing squad

It doesn’t even have any IC precedent lol, but okay

Says the one who just glasses planets randomly with no concept of escalation. (Yeah, I’m still salty about that)

You just didn’t get to see the escalation ladder

See KKM Strike (Demonstrative)

(The rest missed so it would seem as only one planet was hit)

Let’s see

Attempted Kidnapping of Representatives

Check

Failure of Negotiations

Limited War Scenario is in effect

Yes we’d use a strategic weapons to say “Hey, don’t fuck with us”

Strategic weapons is attacking a station of a vessel, or showing off

Not exploding thousands of years of history, infrastructure, resources, some citizens who didn’t manage to evacuate, and an entire rich biosphere

Don’t try to justify it lol, you made an awfully massive escalation jump that made no sense

You literally tried to kidnap citizens of the federation, and fired upon the vessel attempting to extract them

Y’all are in the wrong there

Escalation was happening in the background

Mentioning that a Warden (RPB-2A Equivalent) Class was a sign that shit was heating up

We’ve been reactivating old Exocet Classes, the entirety of the Mothball Fleet was getting prepped to get across the wormhole

Strategic Weapons, KKMs specifically (KKM-1 Is a Planet Tracking System)

I can’t target a station

And we’d informed the AI that you evac’d those planets

It made the decision to make a demonstrative KKM-1 Strike, 3 Salvo

Again, we did try that stuff, but it certainly didn’t warrant a response so large

Also, you kinda need to made the escalation happen in the foreground

Technically no, but for most rps it’d make sense to. It depends on the perspectives you’re using

Emerald attacked the pilots on their way without warrant (On open comms no less)

It’s even specified in the little pilot chit chat

They were flying fleet patrols when they were ordered to link up with their mothership and dip for the Wormhole

They were shot at, attempted to have been kidnapped

From a Serniani Perspective, you are escalating to a demonstrative

Hell, Ranger Squadron was ordered off from using WMDs. They were firing decoys

The only people firing EMPs were the Razor, the Ballista Class

Also, we didn’t even shoot any space elves when we rescued our people

You then publicly broadcasted

“Remove their masks and kill them”

Yeah, you escalated to threatening Federation Servicemembers

You fucked up

Yeah I’d jump the escalation to Deterrence and Demonstration

Did it not reply again?
