For POWs it’s generally fair and civilized. A few might be subject to unpleasant interrogations or coercion for propaganda or psyops purposes. Slaves are treated very well. It’s mostly the Confluence that deals with the slaves

okay in the world of ships there were two systems of classifying ships
‘rate system’
sloop-of-war, corvette, frigate, third rate, second rate, first rate
with ship rigged and full rigged
ships are classified by their gun count
and what I’ll call
‘steam-going system’
Patrol Boat, Littoral Combat Ship | corvette, frigate, destroyer, cruiser, aircraft carrier
ships are classified by their size (I think, I don’t do navy stuff too well, correct me lol)
