What’s it in the Confluence then?

(To clarify immediately, my “dude” shouldn’t be taken as anything serious.)

Well, the age of majority in the Confluence can vary considerably from species to species, from mode of existence to mode of existence, and from polity to polity. For baseline humans, for example, the age of majority ranges from 18 to 25 depending on where you are. It may then come quite sooner for some species or quite later for others; for many AIs it could be as short as a few years or even months, depending on how fast the virtual world they’re in is running, and for the more abstract ones such a concept wouldn’t really apply at all.

So yeah, it varies a lot, like most things in the Confluence.

Cool. The “Dude“ is the response I was expecting honestly.

Well yeah, 16 is a bit younger than I expected lol.

For the imperium, it’s 21.

I don’t think this is the same as age of majority, but for some reason I put 15 as the year of maturity on the Twila wiki :skull:

I also apparently forgot to update the population. I should probably go on a wiki spree this weekend

Edit: nope, apparently 19 trillion is correct :man_shrugging:

I checked it, majority is a legal term while maturity refers more to biology and psychology.

Fun fact: schools as we today know them and how (I presume) the rest of the Sector knows them don’t exist in the Confluence. In coeampireal schools, actually known as Learning Gardens (due to often being courtyards or very large interior spaces), lessons begin by directly downloading information and knowledge into the minds of the students by direct neural interfacing either through cybernetic implants or forcefield-mediated methods. Then, the rest of the lesson is spent applying and testing that knowledge under the guidance of an experienced teacher so that the new information can be integrated properly into the student’s concept map and neural pathways. If any particular student continues to struggle after this, they can request additional practice with the teacher or with a dedicated AI program.

Learning Gardens are structured this way to make students learn all the knowledge and skills in the sciences, arts, history and civic engagement that are considered basic for proper coempireal citizens to have in as little time as possible, maximizing free time and helping them find a vocation or activity that interests them without sacrificing the quality of their education and leaving plenty of time for individualized assistance.

Consider checking out Pixlr

most of my work is done on my school issued chromebook

what do you mean unfriendly use of active sensors are they watching you with a long range radar system

It’s meant to be ambiguous, but that would be one of the things. It would also include more intrusive means that disrupt onboard systems. Then, one might ask who’s really doing the unfriendly things. The source is the Treecuu Well after all… :stuck_out_tongue:

I just have like twenty nations to make lore for (terrible decision) so HQN can help flesh that out (because who wants to read twenty wiki pages on various nations)

Me. I do.
