Do you need help setting it up?
When guns or drugs don’t work, try pizza!
Stellaris is hype when you’re not getting your ass beat
This is what the original Galactyans also looked like before the A1-0 reboot, btw. Thought that might be fun to have as “retconned canon” now that I’ve drawn all the baseline Founderkin species for the Confluence of Empires.
I already got this approved but I haven’t used it yet. I wanted to check in to see if yall would be okay with me utilizing technology that allows people to temporarily merge minds, maintaining individuality but existing in the same “mindscape”. I figure it would be good for use in situations like in-person first contacts or highly-sensitive data exchanges. It would be a very serious process, and potentially dangerous for non-Twila if their body rejects the Null, but if qualified medical professionals administer it it could be considered reasonably safe for what it is.
Oh, sure. I mean, I was already kind of utilizing it for the group minds and hiveminds of the Confluence.
So yeah, you can definitely use it, even if made less “difficult” than what you described.
@Galaxiel happy birthday

Secondly, I got my plot outline going public
Plot Outline for A1-0
To briefly summarize -
The plot I control is the Voidsea, reeling from the recent effects of The Sundering
The Sundering - a period of time between 1578 and 1273 BBT where most parts of the Voidsea were cut off from the rest of A1-0 by a powerful electromagnetic storm, which also cut FTL travel, communication, and access.
There are thousands of different nations, the most important are the Vandalence Compact, Union of the Seraphim Veil, Orion League, Serene Swords Republic, and while not technically nation, hold significant authority, The Syndicate
Vandalence Compact - Large Spacegoing nation, unicameral representative democracy, average military, frugal leadership
Union of the Seraphim Veil - Moderately sized nation, unicameral representative democracy, incredible power projection (for its size), matriarchal structure, birthplace of the Serniani
Orion League - Small nation with a habit of selling surplus military hardware, former colony of a long-gone star nation
Serene Swords Republic - Represenative democracy, deals heavily in illicit substances
The Syndicate - Cross-sector crime organization with a dedicated military structure and thousands of criminal organizations under its sway (Oligarchic Dictatorship)
There are three major sapient species, Humans, Serniani, and Edhel.
Humans - Colonists from nearby star nations or Pacifica/Earth
90 - 120 Years
Serniani - Long living purple bipedal humanoids
770 - 840 Years
Edhel - Refugees from the Star Empire of Calerost during the War in Heaven
197 Years
Killermantiss has facts on subspecies I’ve linked here
Humans and Serniani can procreate to make Vocates.
Vocates - Slightly longer living humans that can take on human and Serniani skin tones when atmospheric oxygen changes
480 - 530 Years
Serniani and Edhel procreate to make Luicarni (Lit. ‘Purple people’)
Luicarni - Hybrid Edhel-Serniani with minor telepathic powers compared to Edhel
505 - 610 Years
Vandals are pretty big on honor and trust, when one gives their word, they will honor it, they have a tacit understanding of politics and will recall their congressperson when they deviate from what they want
They stress military service (it’s for learning discipline), and there is legislation that signs all citizens and legal aliens for two years of military training (Basic Training + Advanced Individual Training), before being given the option of reserve status or active duty. This occurs before the citzen’s or alien’s 30th* birthday, or in the case of a legal alien older than 30, within two years of their immigration date.
*For reference, 28 is the age of majority, with 20 being the date of secondary school graduation, with the 8 year gap being used for skill training at technical schools, or heading to colleges for bachelors and masters degrees. This time is often used for taking a gap year(s), working public service, etc. A student seeking to take PhD programs before their formal induction into the armed forces may obtain a waiver for military service, but must join a component ROTC in order to maintain standing.
Thirdly y’know I love my navies so I will be posting all of my navy stuff into a thread (which will eventually be put into the wiki with their corresponding lore)
Finally, I will get around to responding to RPs
“28 is the age of majority”
Meanwhile the Republic having it at 16 ![]()
Dude.
tbf - your nation is a bunch of nations in a trench coat
the age of majority in the Union is 25
the age of majority in the League is 21
the age of majority in the SSR is 23
the average age of majority in the independent settlements is 22
Yes, but certain things are more unified, mostly from the Rebellion era. The Rebellion was in general more centralized than the Republic is rn, which is a bit crazy.
What’s it in the Confluence then?
