The discussions will mostly first take place within the Foreign Affairs Council — @ProfessorHenn will have more to say on that, probably tomorrow — and then I will present to the Assembly, in the usual channels, the results of these discussions. I would welcome all feedback from Legislators at that juncture, including from new TSPers that aren’t necessarily familiar with FA. I expect that from these discussions, FAC will propose some guidelines for consideration as well, and I would certainly expect that they would be clear, in the spirit of the Defending Principles Resolution.
That being said, I don’t think it is necessary for the Assembly to pass a statement or motion on the matter (even if the guidelines we end up adopting are informal, they can still help shape the direction of how future TSP governments should conduct FA), but it may be something that the Assembly can consider, especially if a broad consensus forms on certain topics.
