The president has declared martial law to fight “enemies of the state” and “north korean influence”. The parliament refused to implement this and the military is now attempting to take control of the capital.

It was rejected, but Martial Law is still active, the rejection needs to be enacted or something by the President.

Hmm. Something that happened for just a few hours, no deaths. Apparently President Yoon declared martial law even though there wasn’t anything like assassinations or conflicts with North Korea. The most recent martial law before this was in 1979 I think
Armed military entered congress building but fortunately the martial law was stopped by 190 congress members. Now the opposition parties and some politicians in the ruling party is saying that the president should step down, and there were many protests by citizens demanding President Yoon to be impeached. If things go well, there will be a vote related to impeachment in two days or so
