Ty! This is everything I’ve thought of, some things will change.
The Horizon Federation (HF) is democratic, and was created after a bloody civil war.
After winning from a dictatorial regime, the provinces that revolted (not sure yet how many) formed the Horizon Federation out of fear of the larger nations surrounding them. These provinces are mostly allowed to handle internal matters as they see fit, and the Federation handles anything international such as trade and war.
The citizens of the HF themselves have many civil freedoms, but business is somewhat regulated (not sure if that will change or not).
