Utopia Cabinet Nominations and Retentions

One is NOT enough.

I really have no strong preference about this, if I’m being honest. My perspective is that the PM thinks 2 culture ministers will benefit their agenda. I find neither nominee problematic or objectionable, and I broadly agree with the PM’s and Ministers’ agenda for the ministry, so I won’t object to the appointment.

It is.

It’s not.

Wake me up when I’ll see 2 rl Minister of Defense

It’s not RL though, and come to Ireland because there are, we have Senior Ministers of X, Junior Ministers of X and Super Junior Ministers of X.

In fact Senior Minister = Minister, Junior Minister = Deputy Minister

Not in Ireland.

It seems like we are drifting off-topic. I agree with HS’s statement and we should leave it at that.

But it’s because there’s someone here spouting nonsense that there’s a drift.

In accordance with the WA Act, I hereby nominate @eternalraven213 in their capacity as OWL Director to be a member of the Cabinet.

Raven has been very active and driven as OWL Director, and with the number of projects they have discussed implementing I would like them as a member of the Cabinet to improve communication between OWL and the rest of the executive.

I’m available for any questions you might have about OWL or our current projects happening within our department.

Thank you Prime Minister for the nomination of @eternalraven213, this is an excellent pick and it’a high time that Raven is in Cabinet.

First of all, my question is to the Prime Minister @Utopia: why do we not have a permanent WA Affairs Minister in Cabinet especially with the GA reset looming in which TSP requires greater coordination across all levels of government to navigate smoothly?

Secondly, for Director @eternalraven213, what do you forsee the role of OWL playing in assisting the foreign affairs work of the Government being performed by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs?

I want to thank @Utopia for the nomination firstly. I think this is a great idea from the Prime Minister. My area of being able to assist in the Foreign Affairs sector is providing support when needed. While we haven’t been posting regularly, we are making great strides towards the GA reset. Right now, we have a few project collaborations with GA and SC proposals from various regions. Those projects are only from a World Assembly Affairs standpoint and nothing more. I am proud of the work that OWL has undertaken and the positive reputation we’ve quietly built in the community. I think this move is great because I already work closely with Welly, seek advice when needed, and include them in our conversations when it comes to the projects we have going on. World Assembly and Foreign Affairs should work hand in hand. Especially as we navigate through the GA reset. I hope to be able to share some more information like my white paper and some other massive news once the department works out all the details.

While I would be interested in the Prime Minister’s response, I’ll mention that we do not have a permanent ministry for the WA because the Assembly has not passed legislation to that effect, and we have not begun discussing it in the Assembly to bring a permanent ministry in.

Could you clarify by what you mean by permanent ministry? There are no permanent Ministries, there are no Ministries that are required to exist nor are there any ministries that necessarily exist through PM transitions except through the will of the new PM. If your question is simply ā€œWhy do we not have a WA Minister?ā€ then it is simply because the position of OWL Director fills that role fully. OWL is fully capable of serving the role of directing WA policy. The idea of creating a WA Minister amounts to needlessly splitting OWL in two, not creating anything new.

I nominate @Banexet as Minister of Defense. I nominate them with the following responsibilities:

  • To serve as a representative of the SPSF to the Region and Cabinet, to maintain the SPSF both administratively and through the recruitment and training of new members, to grow the active core of frequent updaters, to provide leadership in our military, to further the ideals and goals of defending within our region and abroad, and to ensure the preparedness for any action required of the military.

The SPSF has seen a resurgence of activity from Drew, and he has been very involved in both updates and discussions of the Officer Corps. I am confident in his ability, technical and otherwise, to carry out the projects that the SPSF has been working on and planning.
