Sallodesia’s unsung heroes

Sallodesia again has hit worldwide headlines for something most nations have come to struggle with: blood donations. For the first time in history, Sallodesia has been able to maintain a blood supply surplus for five years. The initial campaign of Sallodesians for Sallodesians has faced many hurdles before, but now maintains a steady supply as 1% of the population are frequent plasma and blood donors. This puts Sallodesia among the largest donors on Pacifica. The campaign was largely successful due to captivating a large portion of students which continue to donate blood well into their working careers. Although donation restrictions seem a paradox to student life, steady couples have become the new norm. The Sallodesian Elvira Movement continues to hold many campaigns promoting donation dates, free movie tickets and many other seasonal gifts. However when asked through a survey, most donors continue to donate because they believe it’s the right thing to do or a small payment back towards society at large. However, the reserves have stated that Sallodesia has gained a steady supply and have begun to ask the government for other alternatives. While Sallodesia might have a healthy reserves, other countries still struggle with low supply. Especially in developing countries, this has been a raise for concerns. Currently, the Secretary of State Muanko has agreed to expand future agreements to also include easier exports of stored Sallodesian blood. While Sallodesian continue to give to each other in surplus, they might instead also share some with the rest of the world. Secretary Muanko has also stated an interest in a wider network of blood supply with neighbouring nations as well as Entente allies. As some radicals have called for such a network to work worldwide, some officials have confirmed that some corner of the government are looking into the possibility to create a worldwide network through the World Forum. One thing remains for certain though, Sallodesian blood will continue to circulate within the nation.

Sallodesian boots in East Romordia

East Romordia is perhaps the youngest nation on Pacifica as of this date. It was forged through blood in a genocidal war commanded by the tyrant Nicholas of Nicholas & Great Britain. The genocidal war has since come to an end by the United States of Izaakia. The international community frowned on the manner this intervention started, however the Romordian people have been more than thankful. While Sallodesia remained distant during the conflict, it has since spoken up on the matter. Incumbent President Smith has set the nation on a new course of active humanitarian aid and stated on the Romordian issue “While we can debate for the next decade whether the actions by the USI were justified or not, the matter still remains East Romordia needs help. The fact remains there now is a beacon of hope for the Romordian people because of Izaakia and we should continue to maintain that dream for the Romordians. We can provide that help and I believe we play a role to help stabilize the region as well as help build up a strong identity for the new nation. Sallodesia promised to use its military to provide humanitarian aid to Pacifica and so we shall. The matter has been discussed with President Blanc during her state visit and we’ve come to a workable agreement.”

Secretary of State Muanko has thus visited East Romordia for the past days to discuss any capacities Sallodesia may help the new nation. It’s no secret Nicholas might still prove a danger to the nation since his violent return to power, however Sallodesia will not guarantee the independence of East Romordia as it is guaranteed by the United States of Izaakia. However, should the situation escalate, Sallodesia will reconsider its stance in East Romordia. Secretary Muanko & East Romordia have agreed among other things to a package of $560 million to go towards the building of schools and basic infrastructure. Similar to the deals with overseas military bases, the construction will be done by the locals to fuel the young Romordian economy. However, the most eye-catching agreement has been the deployment of a Sallodesian Regiment.

Roughly 1.200 Sallodesian infantrymen will be deployed alongside accompanying support battalions to provide humanitarian aid to East Romordia. This includes supervising construction efforts by military engineers, medical aid to underdeveloped regions and limited operations such as clearing volatile military hazards such as untriggered explosive devices left from the conflict. To some limited capacity the Sallodesian troops will also operate with joint exercises to train the new Romordian military. In short, Sallodesia is taking actions to revise its stance towards the Romordian people. Changing a history of inaction into meaningful action to create a brighter future for the Romordians.

Sallodesia strikes a partnership on Keyli

After an increased military presence on Crabry and agreements with the ancestral nation of Izaakia, the Republic of Sallodesia looks towards a new partnership on the Keylian continent. Striking deals with Berusturg and its Autonomous Arctic Federative of Nova Astrova. While government officials have been vocal of the on-going negotiations with the Berusturg government, the agreements have finally been publicised. Most notable among them is the arrival of military personnel at a new overseas base near the Nova Astrovan city of Veladver on Piland island. The first complement of troops disembarked the carrier as a formal inauguration ceremony was held between Sallodesian & Berusturgan officials. In total Joint Base Veladver will host 1.500 Navy & 2.500 Air Force personnel accompanied by 2.000 Marines as local businesses will profit from supplying the military base. However, the military presence is merely the cherry on top as economic partnerships as well have been struck.

Notably the Nova Astrovan tourism sector has been blessed with investments from both the Main Federative in Frastinia as foreign ones from Sallodesia. Namely the airports have seen expansions through national investments which Sallodesian airliners such as Sharkish Airlines have noticed, offering discount trips to enjoy the last weeks of winter on the southern hemisphere. VistaTech, a Sallodesian ski-lift company, as well was able to finish 26 km of new cable-lines in ski resorts with 13 km planned to be constructed. Furthermore, tourism firms have shown a keen interested towards the island Federative and further investments will likely increase to support expansions.

Both governments are pleased with this new cooperation and look forward to amicable relations to stabilise the region and create an interconnected Pacifica. With this move, Nova Astrova is opened up to the rest of the world and hopes to captivate many tourism goers around the world with catchy slogans such as Nova Astrova, the Jewel of Keyli. Perhaps parts of Keyli aside from Izaakia can become a new alternative for vacations sooner than expected. Either way, the sun shines a little brighter today on Keyli.

Ryccia’s Destiny: a Looming Conundrum

Ryccia. A nation that once heralded democracy around the world, has now sadly become a synonym of instability and a genocidal military junta during the past months. While there might be a shining light of hope in Irykia, the situation looks to be a challenging predicament for Ryccia as a nation. Many would call for a World Forum peace mandate, but those who’ve studied Ryccia will know that this would only further alienate the Ryccian people from the international community for at least the coming decades. A path of vengeance is what we also hear from the sprouting diplomats of both Bailtem & Cordillia, however this strategy too will falter any feasibly long term relationships. For it was Ryccian grit & willpower that helped turn the tide of the Great War. An image the Ryccian junta is all too eager to propagate to the entire world with both sword & pen. History has proven that the Ryccian people will not surrender to the night so easily. Though history has also shown that such darkness often comes from within. Ryccia has long sought the balance of governance, but none have holded up to the test to successfully rule the many Ryccian ethnicities & political factions. Although, there might be a solution. One which has been tried, but didn’t ripen quickly enough.

Despite the claims of many politicians eager for votes, Ryccia will need a new system of government after the junta has been removed from power. Of course, the Ryccian people should decide that form of government for themselves, but post-junta Ryccia has a new chance to start with a clean slate once again. From monarchies, oligarchies to republics, the Ryccians have tried nearly all forms of government short of Godhood. All have faced the tensions between the Ryccian ethnicities & political factions. All have failed. Ryccia is in desperate need of a system that is able to amend & heal the differing opinions. Though it should also be taken into account that such a system shouldn’t overstep itself. A careful balance is key to Ryccia. Something any diplomat that has worked in Cordilia with the Ryccians, such as myself, can attest to. To us Stoinians, such a system is plainly visible. We need only look at the monarchy which has served the Stoinian people faithfully for 800 years.

The students of history will be the first to remark that Ryccia too has tried out the crown twice. Casting it aside each time it had the chance. While the first monarchy ended with a guillotine, the second one showed great promise at first. The nation rallied behind a young King as a ceremonial figurehead. Though there were failsafes to any political challenge to the status-quo, they heavily relied on the monarch’s intuition. Something which might not have been befit to a young monarch with no experience in governance at all. Certainly the young King has proven to be no match to the political hounds as Ryccia collapsed once again. I believe that the governance system of the Esonian Dynasty might be the most pragmatic one for the Ryccian nation. The Esonian Dynasty has proven that an outsider can unite the Ryccian population. Where the Esonian Dynasty failed however, is recognizing the looming dangers of Ryccian fanaticism. The Esonian King failed to amend the growing discord between the political factions and used its emergency protocols too late. The problem lay not with the system, but with the inexperience of a young monarch tasked to rule over Pacifica’s perhaps most complex nation.

So what exactly is my point here? What good is a monarch that doesn’t understand its own nation? The solution again lies in balance. A hypothetical constitutional monarch would have to know the threats of Ryccian fanaticism and how to appeasingly soothe discord into discourse. Giving the right of emergency powers to a monarch is a decisive course to ensure a neutral perspective in Ryccian politics. Therefore, Ryccia would need a monarch with royal credibility who wasn’t involved with past Ryccian politics and yet know enough about the country to ensure a stable rule. Thus the new monarch shouldn’t be a monarch with an aura of innocence, but one with experience and a firm yet even hand that preaches harmony & unity. Preferably also a monarch with a clear line of succession that comes with them to solidify a future of stability. An easy enough solution until one starts to consider a list of candidates. That’s when one discovers the short list of potential candidates. Let alone one where the candidates actually consider the monumental journey.

The first task at hand is to remove the Ryccian junta and engrain the horrors of such a regime into the memories the Ryccian population. For too many Ryccians & non-Ryccians have died in vain because of them. Afterwards, Pacifica will keenly look at what the Ryccians will decide their fate to be. A clean slate through a democratic referendum. Whether or not we would see a new ceremonial constitutional monarchy rise & fall remains uncertain still. Though perhaps this form of government will finally be able to prove itself to be the balance Ryccia needs to prosper for eternity.

Sallo-Andrendian intervention against the Ryccian junta

Today at 10 A.M. GTC+2, Andrendia and the Republic of Sallodesia officially condoned the actions of the Ryccian junta against its neighbouring states of Terelia, Ikaranara and Doge Land. However, Sallodesia did more than that. It also launched a surprise aerial attack against junta forces on the northern Terelian-Ikaranaran front, eliminating key strategic targets on the front. What came as a surprise however, was the joint operation of aircraft carriers from both Sallodesia and Andrendia. Signalling to Pacifica that their past military cooperation is at a point of deep trust. Proving their effectiveness in today’s operation.

Alongside a component of roughly 120 fighters in total, the Carrier Strike Group also has an escort of troops of roughly 6.000 Sallodesian troops to the southern front to solidify the defence of Doge Land. The Sallodesian 12th Motorized Brigade has brought significant hardware with it as well as troops docked in Doge Land and are spearheading towards the front. Similarly a detachment of roughly 2.000 Sallodesian Marines will aid in the war efforts on the northern front. Sallodesia and Andrendia are determined to put the final nail in the coffin of the Ryccian junta alongside members of the League of Cordilia.

This move was praised by many in the international community as talks of a joint WF mission continue to gain traction. Furthermore, Sallodesia announced it will grant another 15.000 guns to Doge Land and 8.000 to Ikaranara to aid in the war effort. Surprisingly, Stoinia also reciprocated such support by granting 16.000 guns to Terelia, 30 artillery cannons to Ikaranara and 6.000 guns to Doge Land. The tides are beginning to turn against the Ryccian junta as now a coalition of 10 nations rallies to defend the attacked neighbours.

Multiple restaurant chains from the Sunrise Triad (Myria, Sallodesia & Stoinia), have announced their plans to expand their global networks. After a successful market penetration, businesses such as Stoinescu Ltd. look towards new opportunities to scale up their market share while acting as ambassadors of their maternal nation. Stoinescu has grown into a $ 3.6 billion restaurant empire with at least one restaurant in every capital around the world. Bringing classical Brâncovenesc architecture mixed with Tarnian flavours served in traditional pottery, Stoinescu Ltd. aims to bring the Stoinian experience to all. A combination that has been backed by its business numbers.

“Our restaurants have proven to be a hit world wide. In these modern times, everyone should experience peak Tarnian cuisine. Sharbel Kanaan reiterated his fascination and luck he had with his business: “You know, we never thought we’d get to this point. Sallodesian ace ‘Sky Bunny’ born in Cordilian skies

The Sallo-Andrendian lightning attack against the Ryccian junta has created a wave of support within the international community. Especially members of the League of Cordilia have voiced their support for the Republic’s intervention. Indeed, this conflict is also a combat test for Sallodesian military investments from the past decades. It’s no secret Sallodesia has kept a rather secluded international policy in the last decade, but it has continued to innovate its military arsenal and continues to do so to this day. Subsequently, it seems this effort has paid off as the Sallodesia Navy Air Force confirmed the reports of an ace in a day.

Navy Air Force Captain Michael C. ‘Sky Bunny’ Hodges of the 27th Navy Squadron is the ace in question. A battle-hardened Sallodesian fighter pilot well over his 40’s that still proves his generation has a few tricks up their sleeves. Cptn. Hodges is the Squadron Leader of Sallodesia’s sole squadron of Lockheed Austin SF-22/C Sea Harriers. This carrier version of the Sallodesian fifth generation stealth air superiority fighter has been hailed as a contender for this decade’s best fighters, but hasn’t seen many combat deployments. However, this isn’t the most astonishing aspect of yesterday’s events. That goes to the fact that Cptn. Hodges was able to down two fifth generation Ryccian fighters alongside three fourth generation Ryccian fighters. Making it one of the rare instances where fifth generation fighters have been documented in dogfights.

“I don’t believe we can speak of large technological discrepancies between us and the Ryccians.” Reported Cptn. Hodges in a short statement. “From what I’ve seen their fighters are just as good as ours. I think I’ve just been granted a stroke of luck really. Sure I’ve plenty of real world experience, but any fifth gen on fifth gen dogfight is poised to be tense. Despite the technological advancement, the essence of dogfightinging remains with the man or woman inside the cockpit.”

Cptn. Hodges will continue to serve in the Rycco-Cordilian War. Morale certainly has increased since the news came out and Cordilian allies seem enjoy to enjoy the boost as well. The impact of this news on the Ryccian junta is unknown as of yet, but experts say the junta will retaliate by either discarding the Sallodesian claims, put forward a story of their own ace or outright deny the story. Regardless of the Ryccian response yet to come, Sallodesia is determined to end the fight and prove both their martial spirit and technological prowess to the world.

Chernov Agreement solidifies Sallo-Kliegmean relations

Despite its focus in the Rycco-Cordilian War, Sallodesia continues to expand its partnerships around the world. In honour of the late Kliegmean Foreign Minister, a new agreement on cultural cooperation has been named after him. Both governments have agreed to simplify visa travel requirements making it easier for exchange programs to take place between universities. A growing number of universities of the Sunrise Triad already have an extensive exchange network. Though Sallodesia aims to be a world leader and captivate promising minds from around the world while also offering a unique exchange experience during a student’s career.

As universities such as the one of Peoria have voiced their content, students across Sallodesia and Kliegme are already looking forward to explore the growing assortment of exchange programs across the South Pacific.

However, what also escaped the news is an increased level of trust between the two nations. Agreeing to a relatively small arms deal worth $ 11.1 million of CA AA435 anti-aircraft guns for a Kliegmean AA Brigade. With this agreement, Sallodesia shows it continued support for one of the most stable nations on Crabry. Trying to forge Kliegme in an essential strategic partner.

Exclusive: Insights with President Smith

With all the political developments across Pacifica, it’s easy to lose track of everything. Although many journalist now rush to get out as many stories and articles out, some forget other large events that might go unnoticed. Such as the last days of President Smith’s presidency as the presidential elections approaches. Either by chance or fate, the Zimbron Republic has struck an exclusive interview to converse with the Sallodesian President about his insights, presidency and overall look towards to future of Sallodesia and Pacifica.

Thank you for accepting this interview Mr President. Let’s perhaps start off with something more digestible. What make a Sallodesian a Sallodesian? Especially in the ever changing 21st century?
I didn’t know you’d categorize philosophy as digestible, Mr Dimako. But banter aside, you’re lucky I do in fact enjoy philosophy in my spare time. It’s an interesting question really. Stoinians, Ezervulge, Myrians, Huawanese & Besernians all have a certain ethnic basis to their identity. To a Sallodesian, ethnicity may be a factor, but to a far lesser degree than the worldwide norm. To us ideas, principles & morals are more central to our identity. Go around to schools across the country and you’ll see kids of all colours & creeds play alongside each other. All working together and loving each other as equals. That is the core essence that makes a Sallodesian a Sallodesian. The unconditional love for Mankind.
The diversity Sallodesia enjoys, is a strength not many nations have on their own. For in Sallodesia we are exposed to new perspectives from every race & creed that challenge us to better ourselves. The acceptance of everyone that wishes to enjoy the lifestyle of a Sallodesian dream.
A popular saying to us is “Once you’re Sallodesian, no other land will do!” I believe the original users of the slogan had another meaning in mind, but once you’re bitten by our ideals or land… Well… It just changes your life forever. In short: to be a Sallodesian, is to live up to the optimistic dream where everyone has a place on the road to utopia.

Fascinating indeed. Now let’s move to a more serious matter. Members of the international community often point the cause of political turmoil at one nation specifically: Izaakia. Sallodesia’s fromer mother nation. What are you thoughts on the United States of Izaakia, our relations with them and their role in Pacifica’s geopolitics?
Ah, yes… The age old question ever since the Unilateral Declaration of Independence… Well to my grandfather it was clear. Break all relations we have and chart a solitary path for Sallodesia. However, I think time has healed the wounds that led to such decisions. The fact remains that Sallodesian identity finds its roots in Izaakia. Without Izaakia, we wouldn’t be the same. Well… We’re named after a certain John Edmond Sallow, a staunch Izaakian patriot. This gives Sallodesia a very unique relationship with Izaakia, one most nations couldn’t dream of. History has showed such relations eb & flow according to political gains, but time and time again have both parties showed their interest for cooperation despite past tensions. Sallodesia is part of the Izaakian family which helps to amend relations should they rise. It is a luxury indeed. For had we not have been part of that family, we’d throw each other in the gutter like how Ryccia & Izaakia take every chance to infuriate the other.
As for their place in geopolitics… Well they’re here to stay and nothing will change that. They certainly are a drive, but for better or worse? It’s sometimes hard to tell it apart with them. Though I will say, that they have proven an excellent drive for environmental concerns and connecting the world. Perhaps something that people are all too eager to push aside over their mishappenings. I think we have plenty we can disagree with the Izaakians, but we can agree on plenty as well. Izaakia - in my opinion - is too complex a case to categorize into one type of geopolitical player.

I see. You mentioned how Izaakia played a role for environmentalism, do you think your presidency has had any impact to Pacifica at large?
It’s not secret that my main focus was to strengthen Sallodesia from within first and foremost. However, with the way things have evolved on Pacifica… It was about time we also started to look beyond our borders and especially the Mediterranean. Frankly… I’m a bit surprised at how open the international community was to our collaboration. Our relationship with small island nations, especially Livana, have proven to be a tremendous mutually beneficial boon. Let alone the willingness to collaborate with us militarily. We have agreements with ten nations for overseas military bases to build a vast network to aid in humanitarian efforts like in Romordia. Making our expanding military a respected force that knows how to jointly operate which no doubt will heavily influence the workings of the Concordia Entente.
Sallodesia in a way also silently opened up to the world with its businesses expanding overseas. Yet after President Vimmru’s call for action to stabilize the world, something changed in Sallodesia. Something has awoken. A call to lead a new path and I see Sallodesia taking the leadership in future international projects.

It’s interesting you mentioned Romordia. Many people have ousted Izaakia’s intervention as unwarranted, given it was also pushing for a World Forum peace mission. Do you think anyone in particular lies at fault for the eventual outcome? It lead many experts to believe the World Forum seems like a good idea on paper, but not quite in reality. What are your thoughts on the World Forum?
The turn of events that led to the current state on western Crabry is truly regrettable, but I think it’s more nuanced than the widely accepted perspective. Sallodesia stands with the Romordian people through our humanitarian aid and cooperation with our strategic partners in Kliegme.
As for the World Forum, I agree with Speaker Segărceanu’s statement that the blood of the World Forum is the willpower of its members. It is after all a Forum where ideas and laws have to be brought forth. Something Sallodesia understands with our proposal concerning Orbital Safety. The World Forum has the capabilities to be a true force of betterment for Pacifica. However, we - nations from every corner - should push forward that change and not wait while we bicker for it.

Talks certainly have brought the Sunrise Triad together. What holds the future for the Sunrise Triad and Sallodesia in particular?
The Sunrise Triad has definitely enjoyed a steady place in the past year as CMEC has proven a lucrative deal. I think the Triad will continue to be a shining light of progress, innovation & cooperation for Pacifica to take as an example. No doubt we can see its influences in the League of Cordilia, but I imagine we’ll be able to keep our head start. As for Sallodesia… In my eyes it’s clear that whoever becomes the next Sallodesian President, it will continue its path of international importance. People are beginning to get a taste of our dream. Just like they’re getting a taste for Myrian cuisine.

Speaking of elections, don’t you fear some of the candidates might reverse the recent war declaration?
I don’t think they’d risk Sallodesia’s image to be squandered by withdrawing from the Rycco-Cordillian War. The Joint Chiefs have discussed it thoroughly with my Cabinet and we don’t believe the Ryccian junta will be able to hold out for long anyway. Our sources tell us they’re losing internal support and with the world choosing a stance against them with even a World Forum peace mandate in the talks… I don’t think the junta will survive until the end of the year. However, some candidates might refrain from such overt military actions in the remainder of their presidency.
It should also be said that despite the war declaration, the democratic process should still be respected here in Sallodesia and I have no intention to suspend the presidential elections because of our involvement in the Rycco-Cordilian War.

The military certainly has increased during your administration. What changed your stance? Some critics question the validity of the expansion as we didn’t intervene in the recent Hazelian crisis.
Circumstances like the Hazelian crisis we’d like to prevent with our military. That and to aid humanitarian efforts like in Romordia. As for our non-intervention in Hazelia… It’s a complex matter. Should Snolland have chosen to call for aid, we would have had to answer it. Instead they chose to consider it an internal conflict which we have to respect. Most Sallodesians also have voiced their support for an independent Hazelia throughout the past decade. There wasn’t a one definitive choice which our allies like Stoinia & Sedunn understood. Though Sallodesia is committed to support our historic neighbours and amend relations. A task that will no doubt befall to my successor.

And lastly… What it is your favourite newspaper?
Ahaha… I know which answer you want, but I’m afraid I’m still going to have to go with the Hurdling Kybok. It has held a special place in my heart ever since I read my first political article in it.

The Rycco-Cordillian War: Madness and Stupidity

Cordilia… The center of a strong & stable market of the South Pacific. Where are the days when those words rang true? For Cordilia nowadays seems like the epicentre of stupidity. Perhaps the Ryccian Junta’s mentality is in fact contagious, but perhaps I’m being too harsh on the political leaders. While on one hand I can respect their efforts, on the other I also see either ineptitude or madness. But let’s first start at the core of the situation: Ryccia.

The nightmare has only worsened as the Ryccian Junta, lusting for glory, has completely given up its remaining brain cells. I may not be a military expert, but even I can see that the path of utter aggression & complete apathy for human lives has surpassed the depravity of even the most gruesome scenes from the world renowned Lord of Thornes series by Cosmin Lucescu. Not even ancient Aegean heroes have faced the odds the Junta faces today, but at least they had a sense of honour. I’m not sure whether they have gone completely mad or are completely incompetent at making a strategy. The conflict started in the Ryccian meddling in Valora, but not it faces against a coalition of ten nations. What completely flabbergasted me is that they continued to discard the Grovne Conventions in hopes to create fear. However, as we can see now, this strategy has completely failed with their recent despicable attacks on Huawan. It’s enough when I say that even the mediating Gianatlans are now considering military intervention in the conflict. May I remind you that Gianatla chose NOT to engage in a military conflict after the Junta firebombed them. When even dithering Gianatla sides against you, you know you either did something incredibly stupid or insulted one of their adult performers. In fact, I believe the Ryccian Junta should adopt a new strategy of my own creation since they’re so keen to listen to lunacy. Instead of discarding the Grovne Conventions like a chinless dictator, I suggest they might as well use gay & glitter bombs instead. This way they at least promote a progressive narrative that will be remembered in the history books. Though I’m getting ahead of myself. I sometimes forget that I’ve been declared a persona non grata by the Junta. I would say it would be an honour if they didn’t declare half the world as such. However, the Ryccian fiasco continues as we also question the commitment of the Mirrey government. For all their talk from frosty Keyli, their commitment to liberate mainland Ryccia can be measured. 300 troops. All in the valley of Death, rode the three hundred. Granted more troops have been deployed, but it truly says enough about your ally when it lets others do the heavy work costing human lives from its allies. For all my compassion for the Mirrey administration, it truly began to wane today and wonder if maybe Dr Blanc was indeed right in her diagnosis on Ryccians.

I would have liked Cordilian madness to be limited to just Ryccia. However, Cordilia has proven to be a continent full of surprises like a teenager discovering new ways to release himself. My condolences go to the victims in Huawan of yesterday’s chemical attack, but I honestly cannot fathom what happened behind closed doors. For as the recent negotiations for a ceasefire have shown, I’m not entirely sold on their leadership as the ceasefire was squandered by Doge Land & Ikaranara, which have a category of their own in the circles of idiocy. It only further shows how unfocused this Huawan led coalition really is. To throw the ball back again over the fence, this League of Cordilia seemed all too eager to go on the frontlines against Ryccia. It speaks for itself when critics with large mouths have to face the troubles the Entente faced in Bareland. Which the Entente admittedly did a far better job at. Let alone the pampering the Peony needed to feel validated by the Entente. I suggest the Peony should rather stick to posting selfies on Stream rather than pressing for attention from Entente officials who have shown great patience & respect. Though their mediocre drama series also aren’t limited to just their head of state, but also to the World Forum. Following Valkyria’s proposal of an unlawful draft - unsurprising coming from a state accused of forging justifications for war - calling the World Forum for direct action. To their credit, they did come up with a proposal of their own this time. Sadly, correspondents of mine have all but confirmed the lack of professionalism from the Huawanese delegation. From not using assignment instructions to baseless accusations, it seems Lord Gideon Kwah hasn’t quite learned to control his childish tantrum in grade school. Now at the cost of the reputation of his entire nation. Here again, they have proven to be foolish like the Terelian government’s concerns over their railways by an oversight of the World Forum’s procedures which have been pointed out by the Central Bailtemmic Republic of all nations! That must have been a smack to Cordilian pride, being rectified by the finger of a dictator. Though instead of pushing for constructive talks, the delegates from Cordilia chose to bicker with the CBR’s ambassador and call out the Gianatlan delegation for filibustering for pointing out that the draft versions cannot be made into law for they do not adhere to agreed to standards. It seems to me Gianatla isn’t the ‘filibustering’ clown in this case. From what I’ve seen & heard, the fault of the World Forum lies not with its procedures, but the incompetence of the various delegation who have nothing constructive to say. Truly, Speaker Segărceanu must have the patience of God. Though Huawan may have had its criticism towards the Concordia Entente, the League of Cordilia leaves even far more to be desired at the moment.

Though despite other delirations from corners such as the House of Commons in Arnchow, there still are nations that prove the world hasn’t completely lost its mind. Even Izaakia who recently legalized polygamy - all too eager to spread STD’s to support their pharmaceutical industry no doubt - has shown a respectable level of professionalism. Compensating for President Blanc’s tantrum on Government Island during the summit. Yet Sedunn, the Frost Empire, Gianatla & Stoinia have shown remarkable composure during these stressful times. Focused on getting things done properly or enjoying the giant dumpster fire on a tropical island with a spicy cocktail. Now that these nations likely will follow the steps of Sallodesia to put an end to the Ryccian menace by air, sea, land & especially the WF Assembly, I feel the days of the Junta are numbered. However, the true damage done to us, are the brain cells we lost by trying to make sense of this whole ordeal.

Gridiron football coach Ted Caddel appointed as AFC Brimond’s new coach

The Sallodesian Premier League fans are baffled at AFC Brimond’s latest decision to change their team’s coach. Former coach Lucas Cole was fired two weeks ago after the AFC Brimond barely avoided relegation after two tenuous football seasons. However, neither experts nor fans expected to hear the news that a gridiron football coach would take up Cole’s position in the football club. Many have taken to social media to voice their unfiltered concerns, shunning the decision. A small fraction of Brimond fans however have gained a soft spot for the new coach after the discovery of coach Caddel’s dance moves with his former gridiron football team. Most notably, coach Caddel was able to seize victory from Crayford’s Cranky Crayfishes’ three year winning streak together with his Howling Hounds from Tarleigh State University in the Supreme College Gridiron Football League.

The fact remains though, that coach Caddel has never coached a football team before and the sudden change in sports has taken everyone aback. Including coach Caddel. “Well I’m sure my boys at Tarleigh State University will continue to make me proud, AFC Brimond has given me this unique opportunity which I just couldn’t turn down.” Stated coach Caddel at his latest press conference. “It’ll certainly be a challenge to all of us, but I’m confident we’ll be able to turn things around for the club. Go Brimond!”

While Caddel brought unwavering optimism to the press conference, many still are uncertain coach Caddel knows the responsibility on his shoulders. As technical questions arose, it became clear coach Caddel had no knowledge of terms like off-site, play-off nor hat-trick. Brimond’s administration has as of yet refused to release a statement as to why coach Caddel was chosen to replace coach Cole. Forcing both press & fans to face Caddel’s foolish optimism. It certainly is a unique move, but one that never has been done successfully before. With the Sallodesian Premier League set to start again, Caddel will be facing reality really soon. Whether Caddel’s optimism will turn into victory or defeat for Brimond remains yet to be seen.

Pathfinder’s two decade long service

The Pathfinder space shuttle has perhaps become one of the most recognizable icons of space exploration in recent memory. Carrying both cargo & astronauts to the International Space Station and back. Although it was the Pioneer that has built the ISS, the Pathfinder continues its legacy to supply Pacifica’s effort of space exploration. Now the Pathfinder & its five remaining sister shuttles have served the CPSC faithfully for two decades and talks of the space shuttles possible retirement have begun to resurface. While the current generation of astronauts & space enthusiasts will have some trouble to imagine a space era without the Pathfinder, officials from both within the CPSC & outside experts have raised concerns over the continuous merits of the space shuttle program. Especially now that the World Forums has passed a legislation against space debris, experts are again debating the beloved spacecraft.

Although space shuttle create far less space debris than the traditional rocket design, concerns still remain on the debris created by the main fuel tank and rocket boosters. With progress in research into scramjet technology made by a subsidiary of Casarius Industries, many believe the age of solid rocket boosters will become history within a decade. Instead dreaming of a new space era where space shuttles will be replaced by space planes.

CPSC spokespersons have however confirmed that the Pathfinder Space Shuttle Program will remain active for the foreseeable future as its track record of 78 missions shows the programs success despite the demise of the OV-103 Trailblazer. Some speculate the CPSC is actually waiting to buy in on Casarius’ planned scramjet space plane, but spokespersons have denied such claims. Reiterating the merits of the Pathfinder. Astronauts too have voiced their support for the program to stay as it forms an important corner stone in supplying the International Space Station while still expanding it. It seems though that the Pathfinder will continue to carry astronauts towards the stars well into a third decade. Not surrendering to fate just yet.

The future of Sallodesia with a new Kybok President

Two weeks ago on Saturday 29 October, Sallodesia elected a new presidential ticket. None other than Jana Van Den Bergh from the Kybok League as President-Elect and Vice-President-Elect Tinyiko Makasela, both veterans from the Smith Cabinet. Although the tickets faced a rocky start at first, they were able to turn things around with their Believe in Sallodesia campaign. Winning with a spectacular 51.65%, making it the first time any Sallodesian candidate wins the presidential race in the first round.

However, the world now looks at President-Elect Jana Van Den Bergh and what she’ll bring to the world table. Many expect President-Elect to showcase Pacifica a new form of pragmatism as a member of the radical centrist Kybok League. However, the wider international community has congratulated her on the stunning victory, looking forward to work with her. Undoubtedly, Jana Van Den Bergh has promised Sallodesia would play a more important role on the international stage, following into the steps of incumbent President George D. Smith of a proactive foreign policy.

The Kliegmean Senate Chairman Sergey Rybkin, Myrian President Mara Khuri alongside Secretary of State Mikhal Malik & Stoinian Prime Minister Gheorghe Vlaicu have been the first to announce their attendance at the inauguration ceremony. Many more foreign dignitaries are expected to come as well, such as officials from Livana, Besern, Sedunn, Gianatla & Kosbareland. The legacy of Sallodesia’s PE from the 50’s

Although Sallodesia is mostly known for its National Arms Factory, Kybok steaks & eagerness to the world stage. However, Sallodesia is also remarkable regarding the topic of physical education. Ranking among the top 10 Pacifica nations with population fitness. In this day & age, people struggle with obesity as fast foods seem to have taken over the world, yet Sallodesia remains staunchly opposed to it. Enjoying its roots in an old fitness program first implemented in 1957 and upholding it lessons to this day.

PE teacher Jack C. Talley developed a calisthenics program while serving the Great War as a way to keep himself in shape. When he became a PE high school teacher afterwards, he convinced the school he wast teaching at, the prestigious Sallow High School, to implement his PE program. The program involved the entire school’s male students participating in three high intensity PE sessions lasting 30-60 minutes. Students were segmented into four categories (White - beginner, Grey - intermediate, Brown - advanced & Green - supreme) with each step getting progressively harder while progression was heavily rewarded through new shirt colours. Within the first year of Talley’s program being implemented, 95% of participating students advanced to Brown. This impressive progress made national news and garnered the interest of President Bill C. Byrne who was so impressed, he passed a law for the “Talley System” to become apart of the nationwide curriculum. Stating that “Not only makes the Talley Program make Sallodesian healthy, but also helps them become better Sallodesians through rigorous training & discipline. Bringing out the best in each and everyone of us.”

With the Great War & Erangs Rebellion still in memories at the time, Sallodesians welcomed the nationwide PE program as it was viewed as a way to protect the nation. It wouldn’t be long until this method of fitness proved beneficial when fit recruits were drafted to fight in the Bush War. Inspiring a new level of discipline unmatched in Sallodesia’s history across all races of Sallodesia. Ever since, the PE program has remained in place. Recognizing that a physically healthy student, also makes a mentally healthy one. Honouring the teachings of the Tolosan philosopher Selenius.
Graduates of the program also voiced their full support. Stating that the PE program also championed students helping & encouraging each other. Forging bonds to between fellow Sallodesians, regardless of race to work together towards improving themselves.

In summary, the “Talley System” has inspired Sallodesia to reach for the stars and never settle for an easy victory. With an obesity rate of only 3.8%, Sallodesia has earned the reputation within some circles as “Pacifica’s fittest population”. Bearing the fruits of it not only through a reputable military force, but also through a healthy & productive populace that has learned to work together through thick & thin. Proving to each other, as they so often say, that they are worthy of the name Sallodesian. Sit nomine digna.

President Van Den Bergh: Armed & Ready

The deed is done and the oaths spoken. Roughly 10.000 people came to the inauguration of President Van Den Bergh, filling the Capitol in Salisbury. The Green & White was seen everywhere today for the occasion as Sallodesians of all origins & creeds came together for the joyous occasion. Coming together to usher in a new President who brings an optimistic promise with her.

Dignitaries from all over Pacifica came to her inauguration as well. Among them were Myrian President Mara Khuri, Terelian president Mihai Polnicu, Lile Uilean President Troy Cayento, Spirasian Premier Jac Rousteu, Nova Colradian President Henry Trout, Esfalsan Chancellor Levi Herdes & Sedunnic President Vimmru. Even Pacifica’s royalties were represented by Hon. Lady-Speaker Renatta Yakasuki from Huawan, King Andrei III of Stoinia alongside Prime Minister Vlaicu, the Empress of Narus alongside a Princess, Empress Hestia of Pax Dracon and Prince Wilhelm of Weisserstein alongside Chancellor Friedrich Müller. Other nations such as the Frost Empire, Gianatla & Kliegme have sent a large detachment of dignitaries ranging from President Schmidt & President Revan Kensei to Admiral Remilia A. Firenze & Minister Artyom Purkayev. Is has become clear that Sallodesia is considered a force to be respected on the world stage. A welcome change thanks to former President Smith’s administration in the past two years.

In her inauguration speech, the new President opened up about Sallodesia’s new role that she’ll aim to pursue. “My fellow Sallodesians. As my predecessor said, we no longer can stand idly by as Pacifica turns itself to shreds. We’ve worked towards a dream of peace and now the world continues to crumble. It has now become our duty to put it back together for our future generations before they themselves are unable to revert the courses of destiny. Now again the cries of war are heard as innocents are slain. Sallodesia will not stand for it. Hence why Sallodesia will stand with the legitimate government of Thalapadis and offer aerial support in their fight against barbaric secessionists. Furthermore, Sallodesia will guarantee the independence of two strong allies & partners: the Lile Uile Islands and Livana who have been friends of Sallodesia for many years. Let it be known that Sallodesia will help those in need. Both through arms and through health, Sallodesia will work to bring peace & prosperity to Pacifica. I know these days it might look unachievable… But we’re Sallodesians and we’ll pull through thick and thin. We’ll reach for the stars once more to reach a better tomorrow. It’s in our nature and Pacifica won’t be able to temper this herd of Kyboks no more!”

The celebrations however were cut short for the President as geopolitical developments required her immediate attention. Holding an emergency press conference regarding the Pelinese declaration of war against UKED. In a surprise move, the President is betting on her muscle and mobilized parts of the navy to intercept potential battles alongside forces from Stoinia & Myria in a bid to maintain peace in the Mediterranean. Whether this will succeed remains unknown, but President Van Den Bergh will continue to maintain Sallodesia’s interest of peace both afar and its own backyard. Sallodesia has truly awoken.

Kliegme has sent a large delegation to President Van Den Bergh’s inaugurations. On the one hand it was a warm friendly gesture, but on the other a clear show of cooperational spirit. It’s no wonder then that President Van Den Bergh & indomitable Secretary of State Muanko sat at the table together with Artyom Purkayev, the Kliegmean Minister of Economic Development, Energy &Trade. Both sides have re-iterated their partnership with President Van Den Bergh calling Kliegme “A new welcoming partner from the otherwise secluded Crabry. A partner we must cherish for the coming decades.”

Kliegme will now enjoy closer ties with Sallodesia as the two nations have agreed to free trade agreements, forging a strong trans-Pacifican bond between the two continents. Sallodesia has long waned for a strong partner on Crabry and it seems its fruits of labour are finally paying off. Increasingly, Sallodesia’s presence is becoming more and more visible on the small continent, through boots in East Romordia and economic agreements with Esfalsa, Phanama, Termina & now Kliegme even more so. However, the nations have now also vowed to be brothers at arm.

To everyone’s surprise, both nations have agreed to a Mutual Assistance Pact where both nations will aid in each other’s defensive wars. However, its clauses stipulate that Sallodesia will not enact defensive clauses from the CE’s agreements. Making the pact strictly between the two nations. Furthermore, Secretary of Defence Jaco Pretorius has stated that this new alliance has strong foundations and that the overseas military bases planned in Kliegme will be enlarged to fulfill the newly made commitment. Active overseas military bases within Sallodesia haven’t been agreed upon as of yet and likely will have to ripen first.

Kliegme’s stable and proactive government is a welcome change given Pacifica’s seasonal turmoils. Some political experts have speculated that a Kliegmean application to the CE might be sooner around the corner than expected as President Van Den Bergh stating that Sallodesia would support such an application. However, experts agree that such an endeavour will have to be thoroughly discussed beforehand.

Joint Sallo-Stoinian future 6th gen fighter

Sallodesia & Stoinia have struck a golden partnership in terms of technological & military development several years ago. But last Saturday, Lockheed Austin revealed what the progress of its joint project with the Stoinian Catargiu Aerospatial Strategic Industries: a 6th generation stealth multi-role fighter. While both defence companies have worked in its research, Lockheed Austin will remain the main manufacturer of the LA SF-44 ‘Skyfury’.

It’s no secret that Lockheed Austin has created recognisable jet fighters for over 60 years while continuing to implement new technologies, but the ‘Skyfury’ has been promised to usher in a new era in aerial combat. With tensions ebbing & flowing across the South Pacific in a tumultuous year, nations are looking to achieve every technological edge to gain an advantage. As of recently, fifth generation Sallodesian fighters have proven their worth in the Rycco-Cordilian War where they saw fifth-on-fifth gen combat and emerged victorious. Continuing that legacy, the ‘Skyfury’ will be implementing new capabilities.

What makes the ‘Skyfury’ allegedly unique, is that it will also be fitted with cyber warfare equipment & drone countermeasures. In addition, the stealth capabilities of the plane will surpass that of fifth generation fighters and enjoy a large combat range. Even its twin engines will be engineered to have three settings to also efficiently cruise on higher altitudes thus allowing for swifter operations.

The ‘Skyfury’ is expected to enter service late 2025 to early 2026. Lockheed Austin has stated that the ‘Skyfury’ won’t be for sale for the large public and will primarily serve as the main sixth generation fighter for Stoinia, Sallodesia & possible Concordia Entente allies. Costs per plane are estimated to be $ 358 million, making it one of the most expensive military planes ever produced. The companies defended the price however, by stating that the ‘SkyFury’ will hold up to sixth generation fighters from other countries as nearly a decade of research & development has crawled into the project. It will be a while before we see or hear these furies in the sky, but so far project is among the most promising sixth generation fighter projects.

Kybok President visits student concert

As the summer holidays approach - with even Izaakians turning towards celebrations - so too do Sallodesian students. Either to the dismay or joy of students. Though a select group of students this time of year is filled with a rush of adrenaline & joy. So do the many student musical ensembles of the various Sallodesian universities. A group of students brought together by the joys of music during extracurricular activities. A tradition that didn’t escape the notice of an alumni of the University of Peoria: President Jana Van Den Bergh.

The students’ concert last Friday were blessed by the unannounced visit of President Jana Van Den Bergh. Although the Kybok President was able to evade the press, students took their phones all too soon. Things even got a bit hectic as people rushed to take selfies with the President. To the point that the Chairman of the PUSO had to distance the presidential family away to the VIP reception. Luckily this was able to calm things down and the concert merely started with a delay of 8 minutes. A testament to the professionalism of the student orchestras.

Though it was clear from the first beat the the height of the evening wouldn’t. As both choir & orchestra brought muses to life in the concert hall of the university, the audience was brought along a musical journey. From the waltzes of Sergiu Tudor performed solely by the PUSO to the wrath of PUC’s bases in Dies Irae by modern choir composer Trotta. Though their full might was brought together in the Wedding Feast of Nakumbani. The audience felt chills in their spines & goosebumps from the virtuosity of the students. Especially during the climactic pieces of Paul Collins from the recent Hawk Down movie.

Despite a few mishaps here and there, the student ensembles have proven that they perhaps do in fact have something to teach the older generations. Even President Van Den Bergh admitted that the students were able to steal the attention away from her and brought them such a beautiful performance. It remains however unknown when the President will be visiting another student orchestra without notice. Though perhaps the Office of the President should release a protocol to help such students better prepare themselves for the unexpected hurdle from Kybok Jana.

Myria to expect $1.1 billion increase in tourism income over the Summer

A Summer Christmas has grown more popular over the years. Even more so as airline companies, such as Blizzard Winds, continue to bring the distant nations closer together. Myria, a tropical Mediterranean tourism destination has increased its tourism capabilities and the efforts seem to have paid off as an additional half a million tourists have come to celebrate Christmas on its shores. Yet this sensation will not only be limited to the holidays as hotels have signalled they are fully booked for the entire summer season. Both Secretaries of Tourism & Treasury have voiced their praises for the Myrian economy which was able to adapt to the demand of Pacifica.

Not only the beaches have seen an increase in international attention, but also the rural areas. Particularly the eastern mountainous provinces as hikers come to explore the hidden natural marvels of Myria. One such case is the Baatara gorge waterfall south east of Kandul which has become a recent internet sensation. This paired with Myria’s expanded beaches, makes a promising summer for the Mediterranean nation with the Secretary of Treasury predicting that roughly $1.1 billion will be pumped into the Myrian economy. With over 80 new kilometers of tourism beaches since 2021, Myrian business are looking to expand it even further to accommodate even more tourists for the rest of the decade. Although some environmental activists have raised concerns over the preservation of natural beaches at the cost of profits. The Myrian government has yet to satisfy the calls to action by environmental activist groups, but so far the Myrian populace has welcomed the increase in tourism.

Casarius’ Traiblazer successful mission signals new era for space tourism

Casarius Industries, a multinational aerospace company, has completed its final test mission for the Trailblazer commercial space shuttle. Orbiting Pacifica and docking at Kariba Space Station. Afterwards safely returning to Casarius’ HQ at Reynolds Space Center in Sallodesia. The mission was a complete success on all fronts to the joy of Casarius Industries. CEO Andrew Cernan took the victory to the press: “What we’ve achieved here today is nothing short of a tremendous engineering achievement for our company and the private aerospace sector. Together we made this possible. Together we brought Mankind closer to the stars. The next spaceflight of the Trailblazer shall be its first official commercial one. The next step to close the gap towards Casarius is a fact.”

Later on the CEO revealed that he and an employee based in Kliegme, Ivan Fedyuninski, shall accompany Commander Andrew Richard Shepard and co-pilot Cosmin Siciu on their flight. In addition, Myrian popstar announced that she’ll be a part of the Trailblazer’s first commercial flight. Leaving two more passenger slots for the taking. How these will divided remains unclear, but Casarius Industries has confirmed it will become open to the public after its first commercial flight planned for early spring. From then, the public will able to become astral tourists as the Trailblazer shuttles will restock space stations affiliated with Casarius Industries. Potential tourist will have to take safety checks alongside a pay cheque of $ 8.2 million for a week’s experience in space. The internet too has taken a liking to the Trailblazer with petitions to start a real space hotel gaining massive traction. Undoubtedly, the chance of a renewal of a space race has arrived, but some critics are sceptical on whether it will be able to stay as the prices are still out of reach for even the middle class.
