Today marked a special day for the private space industry as the Trailblazer docked at the ISS today at 18:32 GCT-time. After the success on the 28th of December, Casarius Industries has now completed its cargo delivery. Though in a surprise turn of events, among the passengers was none other than His Majesty, King Andrei III of Stoinia. Marking the day for both the industry & royalty as a first of its kind.

The Casarius pilot & co-pilot Andrew Richard Shepard & Cosmin Siciu performed a textbook orbital flight without any issues. Nor did the Reynolds Space Center have anything to add according to flight director Madison Hall: “Today marks a very special day. It’s a victory for the company as well as for humanity as a whole. We’re on the path to revolutionise the space industry for a brighter future.”

Alongside the King, were Casarius CEO Andrew Cernan, Myrian popstar Miray, Casarius employee Ivan Fedyuninski & Valkyrian business magnate Ørjan Frydenlund. Although certainly not a cheap expenditure – a passenger seat costs $ 8.2 million – the commercial flight remains a leisure for the luxurious for the time being. However CEO Andrew Cernan is committed to expand Casarius’ future and press on to make prices cheaper in the decade to come.

Still, Casarius has a long way to go despite the initial success. Each Trailblazer space plane costs roughly $ 150 million and mission costs are pinned at about $ 40 million. It will take some time for the company to break even as it’s set to launch every two months to the ISS & other space stations to restock materials. Offering a pricey tag along in logistics operation. Nonetheless, Casarius has accomplished a technical feat with a unique spin. Let us pray the Trailblazer continues its textbook flight on its return on Friday 17 March as well.
