Sallodesia has been on the forefront of recent international developments. Investing from Crabryan shores to the trenches of the Eastern Ocean, the Secretary of State has travelled to nearly every continent the past year. Seeking new partnerships abroad on all fronts. It’s therefore no surprise that some nations would prove willing to cooperate. Those who have followed Sallodesia’s recent moves know all too well the nation has kindled with a new Crabryan partner: Kliegme.

A former Karnetvorian colony with a Garanian ethnic majority, Kliegme forms a unique nation on the lush Crabry. A continent that seemingly has been and still somewhat remains a perilous corner of the South Pacific. The war in Nicholas & Great Britain, the terrorism attacks in Aberstopia & the recent war in Jakub continue to impede lasting peace & prosperity on the continent. Yet nations such as Esfalsa, Phanama & Termina prove that a brighter future is possible for Crabry. One which Kliegme has shown interest in preserving. Although remaining a neutral state, the Kliegmean government has chosen a more vocal approach to international politics. As can be seen in its Sallodesian partnership & the Romordian Corridor.

Despite some rare tensions, Kliegme has proven to be a tranquil nation awoken by Pacifican madness. Still making careful manoeuvres with a pragmatic course as can be expected of a Christian-Democratic government, honouring its every word & commitment. It’s no surprise then that Sallodesia has focused its interest in Crabry in Kliegme. Through bilateral economic, cultural & military agreements, the distance of the South Pacific Ocean has shortened between the two nations. So much so that the Sallodesian government has officially come forth with a unique statement.

“Sallodesia has remarked the unusual cooperation by Kliegme,” stated President Van Den Bergh in yesterday’s press conference, “and it’s therefore that we wish to recommend Kliegme’s membership to the Concordia Entente. Whether it be in terms of strengthening our economies, bridging cultures or working together to secure peace in the area, Kliegme has shown professionalism & determination on all fronts. It has shown the same commitment to us as any of our Entente allies. We acknowledge that and we will support Kliegmean motions to enter a wider alliance. In Sallodesia’s eyes, Kliegme is ready to be a part of the Entente. Should it wish to pursue that path. Nevertheless, Kliegme shall from now on remain a staunch friend of Sallodesia.”

The sentiment was seconded by Secretaries Muanko & Pretorius, members of Van Den Bergh & Smith’s cabinet that have formed the doctrine of Sallodesian foreign strategy. Kliegmeans have shown a candid shift to help out others as seen with the aid packages to Huawan after the devastating earthquake. A faithful spirit defines Kliegme, one which is shared by the CE. Even so, Kliegme makes a daring strategic member between neutral nations such as Esfalsa, Phanama & the ambivalent Commerce Confederacy. As elements of the Izaakian political factions see Crabry within their sphere of influence – thanks to past operations in N&GB & close ties Esfalsa – might see this as a trespassing. Though these elements likely will yarn it as Sallodesia & the CE’s form of colonialism, even though President Van Den Bergh sustained the voluntary undertone Kliegme has. Other nations like the Peocracy might feel left out and could form a blow toCE relations. It took the CE’s Secretary-General herself to soothe the Peony, but she can’t converse with every vocal critic in private. Whether Kliegme will forfeit its neutral position remains yet uncertain, but it might just stir up the South Pacific’s geopolitics.
