Princess Relia visits Ryccia to raise humanitarian aid

The Ryccian Federation is slowly rebuilding itself after yet another rigorous civil war. One which spiralled out of control when the Ryccian Junta decided to vehemently attack its neighbours in an effort to prove itself to the international community. Luckily, the nightmares of a potential Ryccian nuclear winter have come to pass and now the nation holds a national convention to chart a new path for the nation.
Surprisingly, the Ryccian people have found a royal ally overseas from the most prominent Pacifican monarchy. The Duchess of Sebeș, revitalising her past connections from serving as a diplomat in Ryccia, has coordinated numerous efforts to raise humanitarian aid to the Ryccian people. Taking off her gloves to tour mainland Ryccia and help with the restoration effort while cheering up the local population. The next three weeks, Duchess Relia will travel through the various Ryccian states, starting in Icelast, State of Azimi. There she was welcomed by the muslim population as she visited shelter houses and learned a custom or two from children while singing traditional songs evoking hope.
“The Ryccian people are a strong & staunch people,” Duchess Relia stated on the streets “but another dent in the history books has been made. Yet, they will survive this predicament too, as they always have. Though, today we must all help rebuild. In a world of continued globalisation & polarisation, we – South Pacificans especially – must care for one another through storms & breezes.” Her Royal Highness has voiced to support humanitarian aid through numerous media platforms.

So far the campaigns garnered widespread support in the Sunrise Triad & ryccophile organisations such as the Sedunnic Friends of Ryccia Society. Most notably the Vlaicu administration has opted to divert the unspent humanitarian budget from last year to humanitarian reconstruction efforts in the Ryccian Federation. Giving an allocated sum of roughly $ 1.2 billion for the moment which might increase as the Vlaicu administration contemplates different routes.
In addition, the Duchess too has contacted officials from both the Stoinian & interim Ryccian government to formulate a special government relieve bond to help raise capital for the Ryccian government to pump into the Ryccian economy. Currently these bonds are called Restoration Bonds and will be aimed at private citizens from both the Ryccian Federation & overseas nations who can spare a monetary budget to invest in Ryccia through a flexible zero coupon government bond. Giving the Ryccian government flexibility while not tying it to yearly interest fees and lowering the potential debt. Some Stoinian politicians have also suggested that such Restoration Bonds might be incentivised through a tax cut, but details remain speculative at best for the moment.
The Duchess’ campaign may have merely begun, but it has gained a lot of traction internationally. Further raising the popularity of the Cuza Dynasty in Ryccia as King Andrei III was able to hail for a ceasefire during the Ryccian intervention in Valora. Indeed, the campaign succeeds and other governments such as Sallodesia & Myria equally are exploring methods to rebuild Ryccia to its former status.
