Happenings in TSP Roleplay

The canons of Pacifica and Sector A1-0 are diverse and full of many events. I’d like to highlight a few of them from this past month.
Pacifica
Pacifica is the modern world canon. In this canon, roleplays generally happen in the central news hub, PNN, which dictates small, simplified snippets of what’s going on. This leads to roleplays with high RPer engagement, and makes it very easy to jump in.
The most major event in August was the heating up of the Terminan Civil War. Termina is a country full of many city-states in a joint confederation that has been undergoing a civil war affecting many areas of Pacifica, as Termina is a vital economic hub. The three sides of the civil war are:
The Terminan Commerce Confederacy: The original government of Termina. They are backed by the Concordia Entente, a democratic bloc interested in keeping stability in the region due to one of their members, Kliegme, being in the region, as well as the economic benefits of Termina’s status quo.
The Nationalists: Backed by the Reizen Independence Movement, a multinational ultranationalist movement that backs nationalist revolutions across the globe, the nationalists want to create a nationalist central TCC government. They are the ones who started the civil war.
The Southern Terminan Provisional Guard (STPG): Backed by the massive superpower, Keylo-Izaakia. The STPG wants, similarly, a stronger central Terminan government- however, they are far more privy to Izaakian interests, and are considered by many to effectively be a puppet of Izaakia.
The escalations come as the STPG and TCC and their backers take a stronger stance against each other. While the two factions generally left each other alone in their joint fight against the Nationalist faction, Izaakia has stated that it is willing to directly attack TCC and CE forces in its efforts to secure a victory for the STPG alone. The CE and Izaakia have never had particularly warm relations, but this threat marks a significant escalation that could lead to a hot war between the CE and Izaakia, sparking fears of a second “Great War.”
A1-0
A1-0 is the sci-fi canon. Unlike Pacifica, A1-0 focuses on more character-based rolelpays- although roleplay still happens in the central news topic (Interstellar Quick News), more focus is put on more detailed roleplays where character interaction drives the movements.
A1-0 has been quieter lately, but there are still events, namely the launch of a RP between several roleplayers called RATS, a roleplay series of misfits from all of their star nations have joined a band that takes on the more illicit jobs in the Sector. Taking place mostly in the Voidsea, a collection of smaller nations, the RATS rp for now includes only one story: A race. This roleplay and the others planned are simply the group meeting, but events are yet to come.
