Essteemed members of the League:

The Federated Empires of Ikaranara,
Noting that the League of Cordilia is an economic as well as military alliance, and hoping to prove the economies of all allied nations, hereby proposes:

TRADE AGREEMENT

  1. All LoC Member States shall pursue a free trade policy with the rest of the LoC.
  2. LoC Member States will allow merchant vessels from other LoC members to dock in their ports.
    2.1. For landlocked Member States and during wartime where maritime trade may become risky or inhibited, The LoC will focus on building workable and quick trade routes from trade hubs and ports to LoC member states’ cities.
  3. All Member States should allow entertainment and media from other LoC states in their country, with internal laws and regulations on such media still applying. LoC states are not obligated to let media in if it violates their internal laws, however.
  4. LoC States will prioritize contractors from other LoC member states to perform construction and other contract work endorsed by the government, when not choosing an internal contractor.
  5. LoC Member States should have open borders to encourage tourism from other Member States.

The Federated Empires of Ikaranara,
Knowing the military aspect of the LoC is vital to the national security of other Member States, and wanting to improve the LoC’s ability to defend itself in the case of a hostile foreign invasion, hereby proposes:

MILITARY COOPERATION AGREEMENT

  1. The Establishment of Joint Military Bases:
    1.1. A Joint LoC Base is to be established in the Republic Of Past, near the Weissersteiner border, which will provide logistical support to Weisserstein and act as a forward base in the case of invasion by a hostile power. The Republic of Past has already agreed to this.
    1.2. Joint Naval bases in the Sea of Cordilia should be established to allow Member States in the Brevero Sea to more easily aid those in the Cordilian Sea. Which states provide such bases is up to discussion.
    1.3. As per point 1.2, the same thing will happen in the Brevero Sea, but in reverse. Ikaranara is willing to provide two bases in the Tzaran region. More are up for discussion.
    1.4. Joint Airbases should be established throughout the LoC. Where these are is up to discussion.
  2. A military official from the LoC will assume the title of “Supreme Commander of the League of Cordillia’s Military Forces.” That official will have to take a council with members from all LoC Member States’ militaries. This official will be responsible for the coordination of all LoC forces in the event of an invasion, and/or a joint LoC operation outside of our borders. This official will be elected by the LoC Member States. Whether this title is a full time position or only enacted during times of conflict. It should be noted that this individual cannot affect military operations of Member States that are independent of joint LoC affairs.

Ikaranara hereby motions to discuss these two measures, and asks whether these proposals need points stricken or added.
