The Court of the Faithful

Ikarn, Ranaras, Narûs. The Triplet planets around Centrus. On these most holy of worlds, the Imperö makes her court.

Trianar was not a nation where decadence and opulence were celebrated. Indeed, the Ikaranareans, despite living at the top of Trianarö society, did not eat better or more food than those of lower classes, nor did they live in leisure and luxury. They worked, perhaps even harder than the average Trianarö. It was in part necessity- there were only a few trillion Ikaranareans in Trianar, and countless, countless citizens for them to manage. In part, it was the culture. Only the faithless lazed about. The truly faithful would give everything, mind, body, and soul, in service of the Gods.

This fact was evident in the places the Imperö reigned. She did not sit atop a throne, but moved across palaces built on all three planets. She was never idle.

On this particular day, she was within Ikarn. As Trianar had been fighting pirates more, she had resided more within the area of the Centrus system dedicated to war. Scattered reports of fighting reached her from the Hemmerhaldia and Xanstal Empires, but of course, the Trianarö forces had been holding the pirates at bay. Still, the issue was becoming greater than it had ever been. A majority of the pirates were not Trianarö, and it was a mystery how they had entered Trianarö space, although most suspected Dokavian subversion. However, a report came in from the stealth fleet that was monitoring the Synastara. It seemed to be pirates as per usual, but as the report came in, the room became silent.

The ships came along with Daikarn, and their signatures matched the long-gone signatures of the “Southern Confederation.” It seemed that Trianar’s enemies were more resilient than they once thought.

And they headed straight for the Synastara.

Penma ordered fleets to intercept. By the estimates, there were over 100,000 ships there, but perhaps only 20,000 were fit for military use. It was another migration, and they seemed to intend to use the Synastara home system as their base of operations.

Of course, this would not do. Penma was the master of this space, and she was tired of it being encroached. The interlopers would be met with fire.
