Tossalinn, South Elbonia

A car bomb exploded in the street, wounding 3 innocent bystanders. Police were quick to secure the area, but by then, the message was sent. Within minutes the Tossalinn Hounds claims responsibility for the attacks, threatening authorities that more lives would be taken if they do not heed the group’s call: an independent, united Elbonia. But, authorities know the Tossalinn Hounds neither have the courage or capabilities for such. It was all a bluff, one-to-many Elbonian irredentist groups used in the past. It almost seemed cliché for those sorts of groups to carry those sorts of attacks.

“3 Wounded, all Elbonians,” says a police officer reporting to his superior

“No dead?”

“No sir”

“Well, they wouldn’t be brave enough to pull that off, eh? They know any sort of terror attack they do here would mostly kill or wound their own kind, and they don’t have the capabilities to strike at important targets like Riverion.” The superior added.

It seemed as though the Tossalinn Hounds would be just another fringe Elbonian irredentist organization like the rest of them. But many have been popping up within the past 30 years, from the Wolves of Hekkel to the Republican Army of Elbonia, it seems as though Elbonian irredentism is picking up steam once again, be it due to the rise of Fascist ideology or a side effect of the larger Cold War. But as things stands, these fringe groups are just that, fringe ultranationalists that doesn’t hold any real power in Elbonia, at least for now.

House of Frederick Johnes Boedwien
Rodenne, South Elbonia

The clock strikes 11. It was dark outside. No one suspected anything. But in the house of a certain Frederick Johnes Bœdwien, leaders of South Elbonia’s largest irredentist separatist groups gathered.

They include, but not limited to: the Tossalinn Hounds, the Wolves of Hekkel, the Warriors of Saint BĹ“dwien, the Republican Army for a Free Elbonia, Rodenne Militia, Forces for the Establishment of a Democratic and Independent Elbonia, and the Elbonian Secret Society, among others.

details of the organizations involved

Note: I’ll add more details later on

Tossalinn Hounds
Year founded: 1978
Leader: Hraeban Fabbl
The organization that recently committed the terror attacks in Tossalinn

Warriors of Saint BĹ“dwien
Year founded: 1963
Leader: Father Mahler
A Christian-style military order established by Gereonic priest Father Mahler

Republican Army for a Free Elbonia: Republican Army
Year founded: 1948
Leader: Johan Marz
An organization inspired by the rise of Frankist ideology, established to seek Elbonian fascism and establish a fascist Elbonia. Before 1955 known as the Haeosse Battalion, named after Elbonian fascist politician Kaoelle Haeosse. Since 1955 it was renamed the Republican Army to remove its connections to its fascist past

Rodenne Militia
Year founded: 1981
Leader: Raeol Fallk
A paramilitary force based in Rodenne, the capital of South Elbonia. It had attacked pro-Sugovian provincial institutions in the past

Elbonian Secret Society
Year founded: 1816
Leader: Anton Wahl
An organization founded in February 1816, 3 months after the Elbonian Empire’s capitulation, the Society seeks to reestablish the Elbonian Empire and restore the House of Hekkel as the rulers of Elbonia. But with the death of Prince Bœdwien bonn Hekkel, the House’s male line went extinct. The female line had faded to near obscurity by 1847. Nevertheless, the organization believes that the Elbonian Empire can be resurrected and believes a new royal lineage can be created

Wolves of Heckel
Year founded: 1918
Leader: Karol Strœmanne
The most powerful underground paramilitary organization, its forces number around 20,000

Forces for the Establishment of a Democratic and Independent Elbonia; FEDIE
Year founded: 1972
Leader: Frederick Johnes BĹ“dwien
Seeking to establish an independent and united Elbonia by democratic means, the FEDIE believes that Elbonian unification and independence can be achieved by democratic means

Their gathering is worrying, as up to that point, there hasn’t been a unified call from Elbonian separatists since the First Elbonian War of Secession. The leaders gathered, and as the silent night sky turns to day, these men continue to discuss their predicaments.
