Lt. Laurisa Loom || Dr Claire Halcyon

Lt. Laurisa waves you over to the table that Dr Halcyon and her are sitting at. Against your better judgement, you walk over to the pair.

“Hiya! I’m Lt. Laurisa Loom, Velvet Rose Diplomacy Corps. I speak with the Input Color Red. Any text that uses red is something I do or say.”

“Dr. Claire Halcyon. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I speak with the Input Color Purple, clearly distinguishing myself from the Lt.”

“That’s right! However, it is listed at the top of the RP Opener, who’s who. In theory, Halcyon-Hakkase could be colored red. So, always check before you assume.”

5 Minutes later… You awkwardly sit down, before enjoying the Banana you bought from Tesco.

“Did you catch the “Break Lines?” These show the passage of time. Usually, they are followed up by a secondary RP Opener, that doesn’t show the Force Composition, but will show new characters or remove characters who aren’t in the scene. If not, they can be omitted.”

“Watch out!”

A longsword flies near where your head would’ve been as you duck. Laurisa catches it, and throws it back from where it came from.

“See how the size of my text went bigger? This implies that it is something that you should be paying attention to! It’s like yelling, but worse.”

“This isn’t a one size fits all notation, though. Other people use different RP Notations. It’s all about how the author finds the easiest to communicate. This is just one way.”

“We’ll be heading back to the Velvet Rose, but it was a pleasure to meet you. We’ll see you later, now. Ciao.”

Laurisa and Halcyon both disappear. It seems like this conversation about RP Notation, was all in your head. What to do with this information…
