Okay, some days ago, Serdtgyu had showed to the cabinet, the proposition of reviving the TSP CUP (which is football competition). So that the competition is ensured to live.
We don’t need to implement bureaucracy to run cultural events when the Ministry of Culture if fully capable of doing that. Additionally why does this have a separate host, association chair, and association president? Why are these positions chosen primarily by only previous competition winners? Why do these people have the authority to direct the cabinet when it comes to communication? You have created a pile of completely unnecessary bureaucracy, which is not actually structured in a way to ensure institutional ability to run these events, all while disregarding and undercutting the actual systems we have to run these kinds of cultural events.
Also, we don’t need to be enshrining these events in law like this. Especially not an event that hasn’t been run in years.
Association Chair = Association President it was a error.
2. The MoC is basically imcopetent when it comes to scorination.
3. Again, we must apply the rules of NSS
- Everything you say, is only focused if TSP CUP is Closed which isn’t the case at all.
read this (this the rules we follow if we do something on NSS) : https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?t=565546#Intro
Also I was inspired by others regional events like https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=492136,
Anyways, I’ma let you read all of this for comitee it’s because I was inspired of WCC.
Could you explain what exactly this bill is intended to accomplish or support beyond the mere creation of these offices and institutions? What exactly is the effect or result that you seek to obtain?
The protection of regional competition, also encourage the creation of competition (it can be unofficial and then becomes official), it makes the competition as supported and that makes opportunity to makes for RP events in Knowhere or related
I…can’t say I understand what exactly it is you’re saying here. I know you’re saying this will somehow improve sports RP, but how exactly? What provisions in your bill will help accomplish that?
I think this is a bit unnecessary. While I do understand the goals, this should be left up to the MoC. Maybe ask them about it?
While I am absolutely on board with expanding the regions NS Sports “portfolio” (for lack of a better word to come up with at the moment)… I think codifying events is kind of overkill. Community events should be about what the community wants.
I also want to point out that regardless of the MoC’s ability to utilize scorinators, why could they not just… find someone to do it? From the community wanting to have the event happen? That is essentially what is happening if I understand what you are trying to accomplish with this.
I am all for community engagement and events and I think we SHOULD HAVE more stuff like this, but I do not believe this is the way to achieve that. ![]()
I’m somewhat confused on what this even is? My guess is that this is some kind of integrating bill into and extra-regional sports RP. But all possibilities point to this being a terrible thing to legislate in this way.
If this is purely RP, I don’t see any need for the Assembly to have anything to do with it. The Ministry of Culture and/or our RP community is perfectly capable of running and structuring events. Sometimes it’s worth enshrining existing traditions into law to preserve them, but legislating an event onto the Ministry of Culture (while calling them incompetent) is the quickest way to create terrible events. Or if I’m reading this right, legislating a separate council and chair and election system --essentially a whole independent body of government-- to do… RP sports, is wild overkill that would create frankly too many problems to mention.
That’s kinda how I would describe this… There’s so many issues with the Assembly passing this bill that it’s kinda hard to list them all.
I understand your intent, however I personally do not see why this should be implemented. SPHL, the Llama Drama League, RMB Mayor/Pollmaster elections and all sorts of contests etc. were/are run with not a single bill in the assembly to support them. The same goes for this. We don’t need a bill, the related part of the government can handle it without one.
Like Heli, I struggle to fully understand this proposal. It strikes me as, at best, wholly unnecessary.
Anyways, I’ve just thinked about that Multiversal event is on forum and that it’s different than NS as a whole so I remove my draft
Because without or with wouldn’t would change
