I think the getting involved wizard has been updated to send notifications to roleplay moderators about users who indicate they’re interested in roleplay. We know this is well-intentioned but aren’t really sure what to do with these notifications. Could they be disabled or changed? A few reasons:
- The wizard sends a message about new wizard submissions even when the user has said they don’t need any follow-up about roleplay. It’s not clear what the function of the notification is in this case.
- For users that do request follow-up, the wizard doesn’t report what they actually want follow-up about, so the best we could offer is a generic response that’s the same for every user, which could just be shown to the user anyway instead of making them wait for someone to get online and send them an equally generic message.
- Candidly, I thought roleplay moderators were responsible for… moderation. We aren’t opposed to helping out but it’s not really a time commitment we signed up for or can promise (especially without advance notice). If this is part of a government initiative or something, it might be better served by looking for volunteers for this specifically.
