Fellow Assembly Members,

The United States of Izaakia and the Oceanic Kingdom of Keanu and Hurley would like to propose the formation of a Committee on the Protection of the Rights of Children and the formation of a new division of IACO dedicated to the protection of children.

It is the belief of K&H and The USI that with increased globalisation the exploitation of children increasingly crosses borders, and that coordination between the nations of the WF is more important than ever before in history. Therefore we would like to submit the following resolution for consideration.

Binding Resolution for the Establishment of a Committee on the Protection of the Rights of Children

Section A — Purpose

  1. The formation of a Committee on the Protection of the Rights of Children.

  2. The formation of a division of IACO dedicated to the protection of the rights of children, working under the direction of the Committee on the Protection of the Rights of Children.

  3. To facilitate and direct international coordination on the protection of the rights of children, and facilitate the prosecution of states, organisations and individuals that violate the rights of children.

Section B — Definitions

  1. Committee - WF committees shall monitor the fulfilment of adopted agreements and suggest issues for discussion in the Assembly.

  2. Children shall be defined as individuals under the age of 18.

  3. The rights of children shall be defined as but not limited to:

  • Protection from criminal exploitation and trafficking.
  • Protection from economic exploitation.
  • Right to education.
  • Protection from Conflict.
  • Right of access to essential nutritional, hygiene and medical care/supplies

Section C — Implementation

  1. Establishment of a Headquarters for the WF Committee on the Protection of the Rights of Children

  2. Establishment of an IACO division dedicated to the protection of the rights of children.

  3. Establishment of a budget for the Committee on the Protection of the Rights of Children.
