Raven for Prime Minister

I believe the South Pacific should take a neutral but pragmatic stance. I think our WA Delegate should vote on a case by case basis with the best interests of TSP in mind. With that being said, I am open to working with the S7 or any GA group that puts a reasonable and well written proposal that expands on human rights, positive environmental and climate initiatives, good health safety regulations, and good business and governance practices. With that being said, it’s on a proposal basis. I wouldn’t immediately support or not support the proposal without a good analysis of what the good vs bad are of that particular proposal. I’m all about supporting TSP’s WA members uniqueness in having a say on how our Delegate votes. At the heart of it, that’s what I will protect and advocate to our allies or organizations about.

I wanted to really to drive home some other things I overlooked or didn’t expand on. I wanted to provide more context to my recent tone down on my aggressive policy approach. After I got off from work yesterday, I felt it was much needed to take the night off and evaluate the progress of my campaign so far. I like the ideas of World Assembly Reform, Civil Service implementation, and helping find a positive way to make people’s transition from a new member to becoming a full fledged citizen. While reevaluating the campaign, I’ve concluded that these are good ideas but taking the route I was pushing for is not feasible. As I stated today, I’m not abandoning those ideas or throwing them away. I’ve read the room but also realized we have to be realistic. For starters, we need to build a people first government that maximizes the participation of people while providing a full and transparent approach. We still need to engage on all platforms and close the knowledge gap between the everyday RMB participates and the other platform users. So I narrowed down a 7 point campaign plan that I feel addresses my major policy goals in a more efficient manner with a shortened term. They are,

  1. Endorsement & Recruitment Push: Recruiting and getting nations to endorse Nwahs! I want to buy recruiting stamps and recruit that way, have manual recruitment competitions to award the highest recruiter. I am going to coordinate with the Integration Minister and OWL for weekly recruitment/welcome telegrams. I will personally send stamped recruitment telegrams to new nations. Run a short RMB campaign encouraging endorsements with clear benefits.
  2. Game-side Engagement: I am going to host ask me anything sessions, weekly update addresses/statements, and be visible on the RMB daily.
  3. Foreign Affairs & Defense: I will be reaching out to key allies and conduct a light embassy cleanup, with our MoFA, that are inactive or fail embassy standards.
  4. Culture & Community: I still want to hold a music festival in June. Something summer themed and fun along with inviting regions to attend.
  5. OWL: I will work with OWL on the July 01 GA reset. I will continue working on various WA proposals as I promised I’d see them through.
  6. Internal Organization & Efficiency: I want every cabinet ministry to audit their internal processes and see where they need more help at. We will map out the plan ahead to help improve our processes and decrease the number of excel sheets we have for things.
  7. Community Outreach: I will host a “New Citizens Welcome Event” or casual Q&A on the RMB/Discord. This will help encourage everyone who to get to know one another better. I want to introduce the citizen of the week or featured nation of the week. That way we are showcasing all the awesome nations that make up TSP!

Which region or organisation is the toughest one for us to deal with diplomatically???!!

I can’t say honestly. With my limited experience, I’ve had good interactions with people. Cretox from TEP gave me great advice and feedback about my WA inquiries. Rhaza has been cool to work with and very knowledgeable about the WA too. I would say I’m a people person and good at listening. I will put TSP’s best interest always. Allies will also know that I will be sensible, diplomatic, and treat them with respect. It’s the golden rule when it comes to working with other regions and governments. Treat others as how you would want to be treated.

I want to elaborate on a question asked by @Langburn that deserves a better answer. Most candidates were kind of shy to it. I’ll leave my original comment but post my expansion answer.

I think every region presents their own unique diplomatic dynamics. I believe the toughest challenge we face FA wise is not a single region or organization. It’s being dedicated in consistently strengthening and building deeper ties. It’s true! As a defender region, we value that cooperation and mutual respect! Sometimes, we do encounter regions with very different priorities, cultures, or approaches to international affairs. Where I differ from my opponents is I don’t see this as a challenge. I see it as an opportunity. As Prime Minister I will use that opportunity to,

Strengthening existing friendships by having more regular engagement and joint initiatives.

For those who don’t interact with us as much, I will work with the MoFA to make sure we open up communications and explore how to build a stronger relationship!

Lead by example! I will be clear, consistent, and transparent about our Foreign Policy with our citizens and the NationStates Gameplay Community.

There’s going to be barriers in Foreign and World Assembly Affairs. It happens. How we handle it and how we treat each other plays a major factor in it! I’m going to say this now!! If I am fortunate enough to be elected Prime Minister, you will see me be transparent, always open to listening, and always respectful regardless of the circumstances. I’m going to echo another quote I live by. Former First Lady, Michelle Obama said this years ago, ”When they go low, we go high!” That’s how I will be on the world stage!!

We are now in the final stages of this election. This past Monday, I pushed out on the campaign trail seeking the highest office in the region with the heart to bring positive change to our region if fortunate enough to be elected. Democracy is the back bone of our sacred region. As the polls open, I hope that you give my 7 point campaign summary a look. Maybe based on that and my previous post, you will cast your vote for Eternal Raven as the next Prime Minister. I do want to thank all the people who came out and asked their questions, expressed their support, and tested me with comprehensive scenarios. If you do vote for me, you are apart of the Hoot Movement! A movement built on transparency, accountability, fairness, and stability! We’ve had some great campaign moments! Now, I ask for the privilege to be your next Prime Minister! I will represent everyone and work hard every day! It’s been an exciting journey. Now let’s push us across the finish line!!

My favorite song playing on Spotify for me right now! Hold On by Jervis Campbell! With Christ in our hearts, we can accomplish anything! Let us remember all the brave men and women all over the world who fought and gave their lives!

I will be releasing a campaign statement this evening, varying the election results. If you haven’t went to the voting polls, please don’t forget to vote!
