Hello friends of TSP;

It’s hard to believe I am launching a campaign for the office of Prime Minister. After the nominations from @Langburn and @Hamborn, I felt it was a great opportunity to get involved. I have been quite grateful for the opportunity given to me by everyone here in TSP. From being able to represent our citizenry in the Assembly under the pie caucus and to serve as the Director of the Office of World Assembly Legislation. I am fortunate for being able to serve as the Minister of State For Cultural Affairs in the Pacifica. For full disclosure, I stepped up to keep that region going after our governor left us abruptly . I am proud that we have overcame this and now have a government ran by its citizens. I currently do not possess any additional authority, besides cultural affairs, as we’ve been working on getting rid of AI slop. I can assure everyone here, I am capable to serve in a capacity here in TSP. I am quite new to Nationstates so this has been a learning as I go. I’m confident I can present to you a serious and no nonsense campaign.

The Cabinet:
I believe it’s important to keep the current lineup when it comes to the cabinet. If I am elected Prime Minister, I will appoint Langburn as the next OWL Director. He has been my go to and serves as my Deputy Director. Together, we are making OWL a serious department again with the adoption of The Project Hoot 2026 Initiative! This is to create and diversify what an OWL Adviser is. With @DivineOwl , he has been leading our On-Site Coordination Department. This is an experimental process to see if we can close the gap between gameside and off-site. We want to make sure everyone who meets the OWL criteria can serve in OWL if they wish to do so. With my short tenure, I am proud to say the OWL Department is back on the right track!

World Assembly Endorsement and Involvement:

As Prime Minister, I believe we should be heavily focused on increasing our endorsement count. We are currently stuck in the 440’s and have about 127 nations not endorsing our World Assembly Delegate. I will task the Integration Ministry and OWL to work closer together to make this a more important issue. This will be weekly telegrams, making sure we are welcoming the new members who join us on our RMB, be engaging on gameside, and being involved. I will make sure we continue to prepare ourselves for the GA reset that’s happening on July 01 and work closely with the team to make sure we have our writer program in session.

A Gameside Prime Minister:
You will see me everywhere. Discord, forum, and on our regional page. I believe it’s the Prime Minister’s job to work with everyone in many different capacities. I intend to buy stamps and send out recruiting telegrams. I will issue weekly press releases to provide comprehensive transparency of what the Prime Minister is doing. I will be easy to get ahold of!

Foreign Policy:
Welly has done an excellent job when it comes to Foreign Policy. I want to see us interact with our allies some more. We need to engage with each embassy more than we do now. I will make it my mission to build new relationships, strengthen relations with existing embassies, and clean up embassies we don’t have anything else to do with. I agree with Welly’s idea of creating a Security Council voting bloc. We are defender region and OWL has some major SC proposals.

Culture:
Cultural Affairs seems to be a good place our region flourish’s in. I will continue to work with the culture ministry with the current events we have happening. I would like to host a cultural summit with one or more of our allies to build upon the relationships. We might even be able to hold a regional Olympics, who’s got the best music taste, and other events!

Defense:

I am not an expert in Defense. I will learn everything I can in case I have to make key decisions. I want to understand the basics and will rely heavily upon SPSF to learn. One thing I will not tolerate is raiders taking over an allied region or region that doesn’t deserved to be raided. Our OWL department will be ready to write a SC Liberation proposal.

Am I ready to be Prime Minister?
I am eager to give you the best representation possible. I am a hands on person who loves learning from all the aspects involved. I am hard working, a good listener, respectful of others who came before us, and transparency is key to me. I am about working on the gameside, increasing our endorsements to 475, hold at least 2 cultural summits, having some regional fun, and will actively participate in the Assembly with possible legislation proposals. I come to you with a major asking. Will you support me in becoming Prime Minister of TSP? I will be a unifier of the gameside and off-site communities! I will work hard for you!

Full support. Raven as OWL Director has been ambitious and has made big strides in making OWL into a more aggressive, ambitious body focused on really driving the South Pacific’s agenda in the World Assembly.

A Prime Minister who is focused on transforming our region to improve our integration including recruitment and integration efforts is the Prime Minister we need for TSP.

You joined the community a little over 4 months ago and have only held the executive position of OWL Director (lordnwahs is that you?). Why do you think that the region should trust you, someone with quite little experience, to be the head of government? The Prime Minister has to have, in my opinion, some knowledge of each ministry. How will you alleviate your lack of experience to work effectively in areas you know little about?

Thank you for your kind comments Langburn. Absolutely I will. The RMB does find me annoying sometimes because I post the GA/SC voting recommendation and release our long list of nations who’ve not endorsed our World Assembly Delegate. As Prime Minister, I would be increasingly posting more to keep a good and well rounded account of what their government is doing for them. I plan to be on all platforms. Sometimes it might just be to say good morning. We need a Prime Minister who is able to be flexible to help close that information gap. Posting the monthly regional report is great but people want to see things happening in the moment. I will continue that habit just as I have done as OWL Director.

That is an excellent question and well rounded statement. I think I am a serious candidate because of my abilities of listening to those who’ve played the game for awhile, interacting with people and not being afraid to admit I need some advice, and being involved. When I was offered the job of OWL Director, I had zero experience with the World Assembly or OWL for that matter. My transition with Nwahs was asking him and Welly a thousand questions. Once I was officially appointed as the Director, I think we shocked a lot of people in a good way. As I thought about it long and hard yesterday, I realized part of my campaign began when we released Project Hoot 2026. The last few weeks we’ve raised the bar of what an OWL Adviser can accomplish. We are no longer just about posting the latest GA/SC proposals. We are actively writing 3 SC proposals and 1 GA proposal. Our On-Site Coordination program has led 2 members to join the OWL team with 1 joining by just having a conversation with them. I don’t know everything about every ministry. I know my policy of wanting to increase the World Assembly endorsements and on-site coordination is scaled down many version of the integration ministry. I’ve taken the liberty to reach out to major players like Rhaza and Cretox to get a better understanding of the GA reset and how to write a proposal. To summarize all of this, I am going to a very involved and actively working Prime Minister. I will rely on the Cabinet that is very highly talented in their specific ministry. Project Hoot isn’t going anywhere either. I will work to get Amerion commended and help the World Assembly team get a grasp on the GA reset. I actively meet new people every chance I get whether it’s in the NSGP server or just reaching out to other World Assembly departments. I will trust the Cabinet, be transparent with the RMB, and be active across all platforms.

As I was typing that response, I come to realize this campaign is no longer just about The Hoot Project. My campaign is now The Hoot Movement! It’s a movement that pledges:

• Bridging the gap between all platforms by providing transparent updates at least weekly. This includes interacting with the on-site community too.

• Buying stamps and recruiting. We are a feeder but there’s no rule in saying we can’t send recruiting telegrams or having the integration develop a recruiting plan that people can individually recruit.

• Increasing our World Assembly Endorsements and decreasing our non-endorsers. We currently stand at around 23% or 128 nations not endorsing Nwahs. We are will work hard to drop that number.

• We will update our Foreign relationships, build new relationships and strengthen the existing ones!

• We will continue Project Hoot! OWL will continue its mission of building a diverse population of OWL Advisors who specialize in different areas of the World Assembly!

• Bring the OWL Director into the Cabinet. At first I was against this idea. But after thinking about it last night, I want the Director and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to work more closely together. I won’t promise a full reform quite yet but it’s on the table.

• I want your feedback, your comments, criticisms, and even your ideas! A Prime Minister needs to work for The South Pacific Coalition. Most importantly, I will be very transparent and work for you!

I feel like this campaign is very heavily reliant on OWL and I’m not seeing much of Culture of Integration. Culture and Integration are, in my opinion, much more important than matters related to the World Assembly (even if WA/OWL are a growing matter that all PM’s should address). Do you have any adequate plans for either of the ministries? Do you think you are qualified in helping out your Ministers (whether Culture, Integration, or any other ministry you have little knowledge of i.e. Defense) if they are in need?

I mentioned several key points when it comes to the Integration Ministry. My views on Integration is we need to do a better job with it. First, we should put a strong emphasis on recruiting and reaching the threshold of 5000 nations. Secondly, Integration needs to work more closely with the Citcom team. We should be actively on the RMB, our discord, and all platforms trying to raise our numbers in participation for citizenship. Upon my exploration, I’ve seen other regions really put an emphasis on welcoming newer members to their communities. I don’t mean bot generated content with a nation tied to a server. I’m talking about genuine human interactions. Thirdly, I’d push for integration to be more transparent. I honestly can’t quite say I’ve seen much from the Integration Ministry since I’ve been here. From a cultural perspective, I think our Culture Ministry has done a phenomenal job when it comes to the functions. My platform does mention ideas like a regional Olympics, a musical festival or cultural event that invites outside regions to attend. As I said before, I don’t have the experience that someone like yourself has. I’m energetic and always actively working or seeking advice. My campaign is World Assembly heavy. The next Prime Minister will have to work alongside the OWL Director and our World Assembly Delegate in preparation for the GA reset that happens July 01. But my campaign hasn’t forgotten about other areas. I’d recommend you heavily deep dive into my answers from your previous questions and my Hoot Movement Pledge. I can understand that some people aren’t interested in the World Assembly or outside the regional walls. As Prime Minister, I’d be heavily focused in all aspects of the region. But there’s a difference though. I won’t micromanage the cabinet because I trust their judgment.

SPSF. That one I don’t have any experience in @xshotss . I admit I know a little bit based on what Welly has told me. I can tell you the R/D concept is based around having an executive World Assembly Delegate. I understand what an injunction or liberation is in the World Assembly. The mechanism of how R/D works with the regional updates, you got me beat. But here’s what I will do. I will continue to educate myself and ask questions. I will be able to make sound minded choices when it comes to major issues. Will you ever see me join SPSF? Probably not now because I love my sleep. Midnight I am in bed unless it’s to see our Delegate voting in a new proposal on a weekend.

Great campaign! I do have one question: you mentioned in an RMB post that you’re thinking of making the OWL Director a part of the Cabinet. Are you indeed contemplating this, and if so, why? What sort of benefits do you think this would provide to the department or to the cabinet?

That is a great question! I think several people debating who’s responsible for keeping and gathering endorsements for the World Assembly Delegate was like a finger pointing contest when I first brought up that initiative. That was the first issue I noticed. Secondly, I think it’s extremely important that the Foreign Affairs Ministry and World Assembly Affairs really do work closely together. Currently speaking, OWL’s only true responsibility is to make sure that citizens of TSP, who are World Assembly members, debate, vote, and direct the Delegate to vote base off of the results. Writing resolutions, hiring OWL Advisors, or anything bonus we currently do isn’t a requirement. I think Langburn actually makes sense when he says it should be a cabinet ministry. That way, World Assembly Affairs is unified under one umbrella. They handle the endorsement notices, write resolutions, continue the OWL program, and we can create more job opportunities in the executive. I support OWL’s role and obligations as it is. But there’s a lot more we can be doing and raising the bar. From my research, we’ve been really lucky about having passionate Directors who went above and beyond in their capacity. But it’s time to quit treating World Assembly Affairs as a second class government entity and give it the equal treatment the other ministries get. Some benefits to this is holding the government accountable instead of pawning it off as a finger pointing contest. I think we can expand on helping the CRS enforce endorsement caps that I’ve not ever seen mentioned. I’m not saying we take that duty from them. But we help them. Like I said, we are missing out on a lot as treating it like a second class government entity. Most allies have no idea what OWL is or take it seriously.

Just some general questions to help you get to know me more.

What’s my favorite sport?

I’d have to say football. I love the tailgating, the cheering fans, and the atmosphere. I love the fantasy football aspect too. I sucked last year. I had a great time seeing Indiana win it all last year!

Raven? Weird name to have for Nationstates.

I have always been fascinated with Ravens and their connection to Edgar Allen Poe. They are a majestic creature with an excellent memory too. They are mysterious and have a complex sense to them. I greatly admire that about them. I think sometimes I am mysterious and keep people guessing too.

Why should you vote for me as Prime Minister, even with little experience?

I absolutely love the TSP community and how democratic it is. A brand new citizen can immediately join the Assembly and other entities right away. From the moment I first got here, I had Welly in the DMs teaching me about TSP and Nationstates. No comment if I passed the test at the end. I was fortunate enough to be offered the job of OWL Director with no experience in the World Assembly by then Prime Minister Utopia and kept on by Heliseum. The confidence and trust this region has in me to do such a high profile job is incredible. Being nominated by Hamborn and Langburn both made me realize let’s see what I can do. I’m a fast learner, willing to get out there even if I look silly, and give you the best version of myself everyday. If you vote for me, I’d be honored. If you don’t, I respect that too! Whether it’s Jay, Utopia, myself or someone else who wins, we will all stand together to help make our community better. I will continue to better myself each day, continue to build OWL into a success story, and keep interacting with you daily. If I am fortunate to be Prime Minister, best you believe I’m coming in to work just like my short time as OWL Director. We have the cabinet who is absolutely talented at what they do. What are we missing you ask me? It’s the nucleus to bring everyone together to execute this very complex tasks at hand. What ways or activities do you plan to hold for engaging with our allies?

Which embassies do you plan on closing? What criteria will you use to determine what to close and what to keep open?

Liberations and injunctions against occupations are typically written by Libcord command when they’re deemed necessary for an operation. Are you going to try and butt into Libcord operations to pass your own proposal, or is there a region you feel would benefit from or otherwise needs a liberation right now?

This means nothing. A simple count of all nations, especially in a feeder, gives very little perspective of how the region is actually doing. To demonstrate, I just moved in enough nations to push us over that threshold of 5k. I could singlehandedly push us over 6k, and it would mean nothing. There are vastly superior things to count if you want some kind of goal like this, such as WA nations, endos on del, number of forum or discord accounts, or number of nations posting on the RMB.

Lots of good questions from @Utopia and @Langburn . I will reply to both of you in this reply.

I’m going to combine these questions in my answer. I intend to work with the Minister of Foreign Affairs in looking at ways to improve relations with existing allies. My focal point is to fine comb over who hasn’t interacted with us in a while , region that no longer meets criteria for an embassy especially if they aren’t a treaty ally. As of right now, we have 33 embassies. Out of those 33, we do not have 33 ambassadors or assigned ambassadors. I think it’s premature to say who exactly would be closed or possible furthering the relationship so to speak without communicating with those respective regional governments. What events should we hold? I like to collaborate with the Culture and Foreign Affairs ministries to put together an event that brings some of those key partners together. Frontierfest looked pretty awesome and was enjoyable. I’d like to hold stuff like that, possibly game nights, or finding things we can do together. I’m a very active person when it comes to seeking and talking with people from other regions!

This kind of goes back to my previous statement that many people outside of TSP and some of our citizens aren’t aware of OWL. I also commented and expanded on what I do know about the mechanics of R/D. I would sincerely hope and appreciate that the Minister of Defense, SPSF, and key members would want to ask for our help to write and support liberations/injuctions. I don’t know if I will join SPSFto be an active participant soldier wise. Like I said I like my beauty sleep so that midnight stuff isn’t for me. All kidding aside, I want to help the SPSF where I can to be successful in the operations where I can if elected Prime Minister or in my capacity as OWL Director.

I would infer you to read my campaign goal on the World Assembly. As I said yesterday, we are around the 125-130 nations that are in the World Assembly but not endorsing our Delegate population. Like I said that’s about 21-23% give or take. That’s where we are going to start at. We are going to shrink that number down. As I replied to Divine Owl, I believe some of those efforts will be more clear as I propose a full reform package of how OWL will function as a ministry instead of being a government agency.

Yes I do! I think we need to invest in having a staff that can help relieve some of the pressure that our cabinet ministers deal with. In just my short time as Director, we created and implemented the On-Site Coordination Department that led to 3 new OWL Advisors to join our team. So I absolutely support this initiative.

I hope that answers all the questions. Like I said, I am not the most knowledgeable candidate by far. I am a candidate that is willing to answer any question, listen to your advice, be transparent, and do the best job I can do for our region.

I’m going to keep on with our campaign here. I’ve been kind of going back over some of the previous questions asked to me. I think it’s important to keep the conversation going.

  1. My support for the restoration of the Civil Service. Yes I wasn’t here when that was a thing. But why do I support it? The civil service is a great way to draw people into the government! It’s a great way to offer training in a certain ministry or agency. It will create better candidates and future cabinet ministers . We already kind of have that now. It’s just a loose system. It’s time to organize.

  2. My reform for OWL idea is probably a head scratcher to the veteran population here. Yes! I think it’s needed. OWL needs to expand its duty definition. We should be talking about proposals, encouraging people to endorse our World Assembly Delegate, and uniting World Assembly Affairs under one umbrella instead of playing the Spider-Man’s all pointing to each other meme.

  3. Utopia hit hard on my Foreign Policy and Defense Policy stances. To clarify and reiterate, I’m not going to micromanage Welly or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I am going to get out there and meet other heads of government. I’m going to work with inviting regions to a cultural event where we can build a stronger bond for one another. I’ve been kind of silent about the Security Council Voting Bloc. It’s something that’s popular across the board. But it’s not something TSP is ready for in my opinion. We need to get our WA Affairs in order and organized first. This falls closely to improving the structure and working more closely with FA. Like I said about Defense. I think the PM and Owl should work with the Minister of Defense if a SC proposal is possibly needed. I get that Libcord makes these decisions, but TSP shouldn’t sit back and let the other regions lead the way when we are supposed to an elite defender region. We should be involved with helping too.

I will be asking all the candidates the same question: What sets you apart from everyone else running?

There’s a few things that set me part from all the candidates. I am a huge fan of pie! Most flavors I’ve never been picky about. All kidding aside though. The difference between me and the other candidates is a lot.

  1. I am a true outsider who’s spent their entire time here analyzing things from an outsider perspective. What I mean by that is I have different set of eyes and see things other candidates might not see, them being longtime executive staffers, cabinet ministers, and former Prime Ministers. My campaign is showcasing what I’ve analyzed over the last 3-4 months since I’ve joined. If elected, I’m going to work hard to implement these ideas to make TSP better.

  2. I am a fresh face/new person who stood up and said I’m going to run for Prime Minister. A lot of seasoned politicians said you are at a huge disadvantage in this campaign. I welcomed that as an opportunity. Over the last 36-48 hours, we’ve been engaged back and forth learning about who I am. As you asked several very thoughtful questions, I have tried my best to give you an honest, constructive, and heartfelt answer. Hopefully you say, even if you don’t vote for me, that I am a serious candidate that could someday accomplish something special in this region and in Nationstates.

  3. I am determined to make my campaign about unity across the board. Jay did post his campaign on the RMB so I can’t totally claim I’m the only one. But I am interacting with people on our RMB, answering telegrams, engaging with people here on my campaign thread, and being transparent on every platform possible. I’m doing this because a Prime Minister shouldn’t just be on the forum and discord. It’s about getting out there on the game-side too. People will feel good knowing that their Prime Minister is acknowledging them and keeping them up to date on game-side too. I’ve had people tell me I am wasting my time by doing this. My response is no I am not. If I am fortunate enough to be elected Prime Minister, I am the Prime Minister who will do my hardest to represent everyone and make sure their voices are heard on every platform.

  4. My enthusiasm and optimism. Experience isn’t on my side here. Most other candidates are probably more experienced than me. Did you know I had no experience with the World Assembly when I became OWL Director? Instead I have spent time with people who do. I’ve listened to the leaders who would give me advice. I did research about how to make myself better in the role. So far, we’ve gotten people to start looking at OWL’s way again! Some voters have expressed we need someone who is passionate; enthusiastic, optimistic, and willing to work hard as our next Prime Minister! Truthfully I feel I am that person!

To summarize everything I’ve said, I am not the most qualified person to be Prime Minister. I question are you ever the most qualified person to serve as Prime Minister? Each candidate has different qualities, opinions, and values they will bring to the office. Hopefully with what I present to you in my campaign and answers to your questions, you see that I am hardworking, enthusiastic, optimistic, caring, dedicated, unifying, and transparent candidate who should be our next Prime Minister.
