The user known on site as “Prouthe” is banned (again).
This is not a new moderation decision. Prouthe was banned in 2022 for flaming. They subsequently resumed participation on the RMB with a different nation, one which they have now publicly listed as theirs. They returned later in 2022 under another different nation, one which they admitted at the time and have also currently listed as theirs, engaging in unrepentant ban evasion. They have now returned as the nation “Prouthe.”
If we issue a temporary ban, we will say so. If a user was banned was years ago and wants to appeal, they can reach out to a moderator. Absent either, the appropriate course of action is not to create a new nation and hope to go unnoticed. The previous ban still stands.
We understand that we have issued a number of moderation decisions recently, which may be surprising to the community. I note that this decision is not related to others we have issued recently. We can not choose when an already banned user chooses to return or if the timing of that return appears close in time to other moderation decisions.
Prouthe may appeal by sending a DM to any Moderator, and their appeal will be heard by a panel of uninvolved Moderators.
