As movements in Sedunn and Reizen demand the ratification or improved execution of the TPNW by their governments, there has been a protest led by conservative forces in Gianatla demanding the opposite from the Gianlucian administration: “A world without nuclear weapons is wishful thinking. We have seen the weapons will be used, thus we need equal capabilities to retaliate. A new foreign policy must include this thinking process to be agreeable for KPHA [Conservatives] and FPG [Liberals].”

When asked about Ryccia’s stance on the TPNW, a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry stated that “Ryccia’s nuclear weapons arsenal is a tool for national defense that has been updated in both its composition and roles over the years. We are more than happy to cooperate with other nations to reduce the risk of nuclear conflict all while safeguarding our national security”

Ikaranara has maintained its policy that it reserves a right to start developing or building any type of WMD at any time as long as they continue to exist elsewhere. This policy is wildly popular within Ikaranara and it is unexpected that it will change any time soon. Despite this policy, Ikaranara does not have any (known) stockpiles of WMDs.

Representatives of STRATA have been seen leaving the meeting, visibly annoyed. The meeting is still ongoing, with people suggesting that they’re negotiating some sort of deal. The government is still uninformed on the purpose of the meeting, but rumors exist that the result of it will be a constitutional amendment sent into congress. The parties don’t hold a majority, but with enough pressure from provincial governments could possibly force the national government to compromise

An Izaakian Foreign Office spokesperson was asked to comment in the recent Ryccian stance on nuclear weapons. They said “Did nuclear weapons make ryccia safe from the junta, or safe from us and its neighbours when it crossed the line? Did they make N&GB safe when they crossed the line? Did they make Emerald and Denver safe when it broke out in civil war? Did it make the Frost Empire and Reizen safe during its civil war? The answer to all those questions is ofcourse no. All they have done is either cause tragedies on their home soil, or given governments licence to believe they can do as they please, which as we’ve seen twice last year, proved to be false.”

Early this morning, around 600 police officers arrived at the scene and removed the protestors in front of the parliament. The police used pepper spray to disolve the group and then removed them. The police chief has not yet elaborated on what grounds the prostestors were removed.
Special cyber warfare division HECATE has confirmed that they have taken down Ludville’s automated air defense system, and is calling on allied forces to use this opertunity before Ludville even has a chance to react or repair the system
