BREAKING— Authorities in Zádáragaz say unidentified gunmen ambushed a federal transport vehicle carrying the two recently convicted Izaakian arms traffickers during a transfer to a secure detention facility earlier today.

In a brief joint statement, the Federal Police Agency and the Federal Bureau of Prisons and Community Supervision confirmed that the convoy came under coordinated small-arms fire from multiple assailants along a highway corridor outside the city.

Officials said one of the detainees was critically injured during the assault. Five FPA agents and two BPCS transport officers were also wounded, though authorities said their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Security personnel returned fire during the attack, killing three armed gunmen at the scene, according to the statement.

Investigators believe at least two additional suspects fled the area, prompting a large-scale manhunt involving federal tactical units, aerial surveillance, and regional police agencies.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the attack was an attempt to free the prisoners, or assassinate them, though the incident occurred only hours after the pair were found guilty of arms trafficking and material support for terrorism in federal court.

Road closures and security checkpoints have been established along several transport routes around Zádáragaz as investigators search for the remaining suspects.

Officials say the situation remains active and developing, and additional updates are expected as the investigation continues.

BREAKING— Authorities say four additional suspects have been apprehended in connection with yesterday’s armed assault on a federal prisoner transport convoy outside Zádáragaz, significantly expanding the scope of the ongoing investigation.

In a statement released late this morning, the Krauana Provincial Police confirmed that the arrests were carried out during coordinated operations with the Federal Police Agency and the Federal Marshal Service.

Officials said the suspects were taken into custody during early-morning raids at multiple locations in rural districts east of Zádáragaz, following overnight surveillance and intelligence analysis linked to the attack.

The assault occurred yesterday when a convoy transporting two recently convicted Izaakian arms traffickers to a secure federal detention facility came under heavy gunfire from multiple assailants along a highway corridor outside the city. Three armed attackers were killed at the scene after security personnel returned fire.

Authorities have not yet clarified whether the four individuals arrested today include the two suspects who initially fled the attack site or if investigators believe additional accomplices were involved in planning or supporting the operation.

Law enforcement officials say weapons, communications equipment, and several vehicles were seized during the arrests and are now being examined by federal forensic teams.

One of the detainees being transported during the ambush remains in critical condition, while five federal agents and two prison transport officers who were injured in the attack are reported to be recovering.

Investigators have not publicly identified the suspects or disclosed their nationalities, though officials indicated that preliminary evidence suggests the ambush was coordinated rather than spontaneous.

Authorities say further arrests remain possible as investigators attempt to determine whether the attackers were part of a broader network seeking to free the prisoners or silence them following their landmark terrorism convictions.

Security around federal detention facilities and prisoner transports across Krauanagaz has reportedly been temporarily heightened as the investigation continues.

Prime Minister Erickson has appointed Jordana Blair as Deputy Prime Minister alongside Harold Garcia. The Prime Minister becomes the fourth in a row to appoint Blair as a Deputy Prime Minister. Blair previously served as Deputy Prime Minister from 1986 to 1987 under Prime Ministers Karol O’Neill and Joshua Bennett, and has on and off since 2022, under Prime Ministers Joanna Barrett, Harold Garcia, Cecil Walton and Cynthia Erickson.

Late former Prime Minister Guillermo Murphy has been voted the most underrated Prime Minister in the history of the state. The former Prime Minister got a lot of slack and backlash for his quiet personality and age but, 10 years on, most people still look to him as a turning point for where our country sits today and the decisions being made today. People now recognise the work he did in encouraging women to speak up and have a voice and run for elected office and, indeed, within six months of his tragic death, the first female Prime Minister took office.

After consultation with Deputy Prime Minister Harold Garcia, Prime Minister Erickson has appointed Nicola Townsend of the Advanced Humanitarian League Deputy Prime Minster, alongside Harold Garcia and Jordana Blair.

Prime Minister Erickson has dismissed Traci Matthews as Minister for Economy and Planning and appointed Deputy Prime Minister Jordana Blair the new Minister for Economy and Planning. The Prime Minister has also dismissed Sheldon Stokes as Minister of the Interior and appointed Deputy Prime Minister Nicola Townsend as Minister of the Interior.

Deputy Prime Minister Harold Garcia has been called out for failing to speak out on anti-gay regimes.

For the first time since he took office in 2021, people have started questioning when President Elliott’s time could be up as President and Head of State and who could possibly be the next President of Qaweritoyu.

First Lady Asia Hicks has announced funding for police services and secret services in the country. This is the First Lady’s first public appearance since marrying the President in October 2025.

Reports indicate that the Losavral GDP is supposed to drop by at least 4% this year as Losavra reels from its civil war. The Losavral economy, based mostly on the export of food, was heavily disrupted. With the advent of Raz Couav, a disease that has spread to many rice crops on West Cordilia, and the inflexible nature of the Losavral economy leads many economic analysts to warn that Losavra could face an economic crisis that would further inflame the still extant tensions facing the Indavral region. Several top analysts have indicated that it might be advisable for Losavra to take a loan to repair infrastructure and diversify its economy, adding non-farming jobs for the population.

The Besernian federal government, working in conjunction with the Treisag state government, highway rest stops, vehicle manufacturers and filling station companies, have started rolling out hydrogen fuel stations in the city of Zweisaubach and its surrounding rural districts. This is in conjunction with the early phases of the Hydrogen Plan, which aims to decrease the amount of vehicles that are powered by combusting fossil fuel, which is complimentary to the federal Green Plan and the focus on public and sustainable transport.

Hydrogen-cell buses are due to be introduced to Treisag this September, which are to replace the current 2006-2012 fleet of diesel-powered double decker buses that run alongside the current public bus fleet, which run either on electric power or internal combustion engines. Electric buses have been introduced in Besern since 2018. Hydrogen fuel pumps are also expected to roll out in bus depots across the Treisag Twin Cities area with their introduction.

During a pre-election interview President Blanc was asked why she’s refused to debate her rivals in the presidential elections. She said “I’m polling at 85%, I have no viable opponents. If somehow, we go to a run off election, I will relish the debate with them”

Later when asked if she thinks deporting people for minor crimes such as littering, smoking or fare dodging is excessive, she said “No, the USI is an attractive place to live because of the rule of law, and because it is the cleanest nation on earth. If people choose to to disobey those laws, and to violate our nations environment, they show disrespect to the people, laws and culture of Izaakia, and we can and will continue to choose not to have them”

BREAKING— The Krauanagazan State Department has formally accused the Izaakian Foreign Intelligence Service, which Izaakia denies the existence of, of covertly encouraging militant actors inside Krauanagaz to carry out the recent ambush on a federal prisoner transport convoy.

In a sharply worded statement released moments ago, officials said there is, “credible intelligence indicating external agitation and indirect coordination,” linked to the attack that left one detainee critically injured and multiple federal personnel wounded.

While stopping short of alleging direct operational control, the Krauanagaz claimed that Izaakian intelligence operatives, “created permissive conditions and provided signals that emboldened hostile elements,” to target the two convicted Izaakian nationals following their landmark terrorism trial.

“This represents a grave breach of international norms,” the statement read. “Foreign services do not get to weaponize non-state actors on our soil in response to lawful judicial proceedings.”

The government of Izaakia has not yet responded to the allegations.

Senior officials say Krauanagaz is now reviewing potential diplomatic and legal responses, including raising the matter before the World Forum and reassessing bilateral security cooperation.

Analysts warn the accusation could mark a significant escalation in tensions between the two countries, particularly as federal investigators continue to unravel the network behind the attack.

BREAKING— The Krauanagazan Department of Justice has filed an emergency motion in federal court seeking to halt publication of an upcoming investigative report by The Scope concerning the Med Karazh attack.

According to court filings submitted late this morning, federal prosecutors argue that the article contains “sensitive and potentially classified material” that, if released, could compromise ongoing counterterrorism investigations and national security operations tied to the case.

The motion reportedly requests a temporary injunction preventing publication until a full judicial review can be conducted, marking an unprecedented and highly controversial attempt by the government to block a major media outlet from publishing.

Sources familiar with the filing say the Department of Justice specifically cited concerns over leaked intelligence assessments and forensic findings, some of which may be connected to internal reports produced by joint regional task forces investigating the attack.

In a brief response, editors at The Scope said they are “reviewing the legal challenge” but emphasized their commitment to public interest journalism, adding that the reporting is “rigorously sourced and responsibly handled.”

Legal experts say the case could quickly become a landmark test of press freedom versus national security in Krauanagaz, particularly given the public significance of the Med Karazh investigation and the government’s prior delay of its official report.

A federal judge is expected to consider the motion on an expedited basis.

In a very rare move, President Elliott has passed an Executive Order, stating that MPs holding public office, including Cabinet, Leaders of Parties, Opposition Leaders, Prime Ministers, Vice-Presidents, Presidents, Deputy Speakers and Speakers may not be tried for offences whilst holding public office. If a case arises against them, the Police must postpone it until the person leaves public office.

Responding this evening, President Elliott stated, ‘I am aware there are criminals currently in public office, but their duty of service to our people is more important than what they have done and if they do not resign of their own free will, they have a right to retain their office, as the people elected to those offices, these are busy positions and cannot be interrupted, so as soon as they leave public office, justice will be served.’
