– Head of HM Cabinet for External Affairs, Earl Quinlan Emmerson and Head of State, Grand Duke Dawson Ernst commend efforts of the international community in nuclear de-proliferation. Emphasis was intonated in regards to President Vimmru Innien of Sedunn for initiating wider application of the TPNW in other countries; noting Eflad, Valkyria, Pelinai and Weisserstein as examples.
No less commendation was given to the same efforts within U.S.I., Besern, Gianatla and Ryccia albeit subtly, reason speculated to be that foreign statements on the matter might negatively impact the de-proliferation political factions in internal affairs of other countries.

– The HM Cabinet for External Affairs has issued a Plebiscite regarding Nasphilitaes’ citizens opinions regarding the substantive nature of the (now outlined) “Collective Strategy Document”. The Plebiscite will involve the domestic public opinion on countries in Crabry & major powers in the South Pacific; As well as the publics general linguistic and cultural knowledge of those countries.
The Plebiscite has followed procedures as regulated by Ch. 3 Section 6 Paragraphs 11 & 12 of the respective recently passed Act.
It’s safe to assume then, in aggregation of the above, that a key portion of the Document involves the aforementioned Cross-Cultural Institutes & re-opening of Ambassadorial & Consulate Missions of Nasphilitae.

The queen and prime minister of Ateemara have signed a bill which will work on greatly reducing the nation’s arsenal of ICBMs as well as ban the production of new nuclear weapons. This bill notably doesn’t effect submarine based nuclear weapons, but is opening the door to the eventual full denuclearization of the ateemaran armed forces, a possiblity previously considered impossible

Montwælda Rombold announces $100 billion of additional spending over the next 10 years on warship building, increasing the current order books by 2 aircraft carriers, 4 helicopter carriers. 5 nuclear powered submarines, 20 frigates, 15 frigates, 20 electric diesel coastal submarines, and up to 80 support and smaller vessels.
The huge spending commitment from the government is designed to shore up Izaakian defensive capabilities in lieu of a nuclear weapisn program and prop up the Ra’kau State economy which is set to lose jobs from the loss of the nuclear deterrent.

Izaakian fast food restaurant chain Jim Nortons opens its first restaurant in Keanu and Hurley, making it the first and only fast food restaurant in K&H. King Keanu and Princess Kauai were amongst the first customers, ordering Crispy Chicken and Maple Bacon Burgers with waffle fries, mayo, Jim Bits and the world famous hot chocolate.
Whilst at the restaurant, King Keanu was seen sharing an intimate moment with an unidentified woman. This is the first time King Keanu has been seen in public with a potential partner in over 15 years since his first wife, and Princess Kauai’s mother died from an aggressive form of Leukemia,

The Vrignyan Government has proclaimed the end of the judicial process to investigate and punish the many crimes of the High Command, generals and commanders of the former Military Dictatorship. With no solid proof of any wrongdoing, Michail Berunt remains one of the very few free influential military or political figures from the previous era.

Now, due to the high intensity of the investigations and large amount of crimes discovered, the Vrignyan Armed Forces, now renamed to Vrignyan Democratic Defense Force is nothing more than a militia-like military, with quite a bunch of aging unmantained equipment inherited from the previous Armed Forces. Many of the newly promoted generals and officers are still unexperienced.

On another hand, all information pertaining to the investigations, criminal proceedings and sentences has become public, as to keep such relevant and important actions done by the government transparent to the whole of Vrigny, and the rest of Pacifica. With this procedure over, the government proclaims that the Fourth Republic is now stable, and no further coup attempts or civil wars are impossible.

Finally, President Lorena Ballons, which has been ruling the Republic since its establishment, 10 years ago, and completely changed Vrigny’s constitution into a liberal and democratic one (although the “democratic” part has yet to be seen) has announced her incoming resignation as President, and completely as a politician, with the following statement: “My dear people, these past 10 years we have been fighting an intense battle against our past, ensuring it will never have a chance to come back and ruin our country and lives. With the stabilization and full democratization process of our country complete, I am ready to give up my Presidency for good. I will always believe that a functional nation should never have a leader for near as long as I was President, although hopefully with this stable starting point, all us Vrignyans will be able to shape and improve our future freely.”

The President then announced elections for the following month, and gave her thanks to all the Vrignyans who supported her, as well as those who didn’t. Her average approval rating along her presidency was around 57%, which makes sense considering she was the first leader to be elected and liberal in over 60 years. Polls for the incoming elections will start soon, and relations between the SPV and LPV are surely hit after this sudden situation.

Heavy debates in Losavra after several Chief in the State Council have suggested the federalization of the Losavral government, giving the central government more power over the states. As one, chief of Saarala, a state right below the Bivbi, has argued:

“This loose confederation of states is clearly not working for the Losavral people. Our south is rampant with terrorists and irredentists, our defense reliant on our brothers in Ikaranara. Letting these states do as they wish will only sow the seeds for further conflict and instability, which will damage our nation and our people irreparably…”

The Chief of Atrissian Tzara, a state on the border with Ikaranara, however, rebutted the federalists. “This Confederation is a part of our culture, and, furthermore, has been a herald of democracy for hundreds of years. To destroy this Confederation is to promote the destruction of our freedoms and the culture of each state in the Confederation. We have made the correct choice in eliminating the militia system and creating a way to enforce national will, but the federalization of the entire country is a step too far in that direction…”

The debate runs fiercely as joint Ikaranarean-Losavral operations in the south against the Proud Losavrals, Bvarai Benêr and the Losavral People’s Front ramp up in intensity. Ikaranareans are expressing concerns at these escalations, not wanting another war after the Rycco-Cordillian war and the War in Past.

Talkz Wins Zhanari LK Primary After 2 Days of Counting Ballots

In the Lornaisenza Korozarai (LK) Zhanari primary, Isik Andana Talkz secured a decisive victory with 53.8% of the vote and 562 delegates, making her the presumptive nominee for LK. Her opponent, Ardan Kevran, garnered 46.2% of the vote and 481 delegates. Although Talkz is just shy of the 1,351 delegates needed for the party’s nomination, she addressed supporters, extending unity to those who backed other candidates. As the primary season continues, the next crucial election is the Kevanta Mitalldukish (KM) primary in Zhanari on March 16, followed by the LK Dukzhirra primary on March 28 and the final Luzia Anavalk Mitallarai (LAM) primary in the Disputed Territories on March 25.

Jakubian military staff quote “bored out of [their] minds,” since the end of the Molician insurgency.

“I miss war,” says an anonymous NCO of the Jakubian Army.
“All I do now is fill out paperwork about dumbasses breaking shit,” says an anonymous Jakubian Air Force officer.

With a lack of conflicts, the Jakubian military has seen a decrease in recruitment, but the Jakubian military insists that “we are prepared for the unlikely situation of war. The current recruiting numbers are expected” — General Kowalski, head of the Jakubian Army’s recruiting.

Some worries have come from supporters of the “Ruskowski Doctrine,” still being debated in the Jakubian congress, that Jakub will not be able to enforce such a doctrine.

The Minister for Economics, Trade and Commerce alongside the Minister for foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister announced that “the Index” has been finished. “It lists every country in the South Pacific and ranks them on the democracy scale. The scale is the basis for the trizonal mode for trade. According to this scale, nations which have a rating of higher than 7,75 are eligible for zone 1 in which vast free trade agreements (FTAs) are possible. Countries with an index between 7,75 and 5 are sorted into zone 2, with possible FTAs for certain sectors but largely bilateral contracts to lower the import tax/duty. Lastly nations under the index 5 are sorted into the zone 3 where either there is restricted, very low or nonexistent due to embargo etc.” explained minister Grom (Economics). The foreign minister said that “it is a step forward for Eflad to categorise the nations into those Eflad is ready to trade with. Due to the very low threshold of the index 5, only few nations fall into zone 3. This is our invitation for foreign nation to approach us in a meaningful way, without pretending.”

The Head of Government & Speaker of Nasphilitae (Syd G. Patton) has requested from both the Head of HM’s Cabinet for External Affairs (Earl Quinlan Emmerson) and the Head of HMs Cabinet for Armed Forces (General, Peer David Atkinsons) for addressing the domestic public on recent remarks of Jakub.

Disagreements arose privately, as both The Heads of HMC for EA & of HMC for AF initially refused to comment on the matter, marking it as “Irrelevant and self-inflicingly harmful, as vail threats & self-designations without actualisation discredit future statements of governments”, sources say.

However, the Head of State of Nasphilitae (Grand Duke Dawson Ernst) managed to mediate the two positions by publicly addressing:
“Although this is nothing to worry about, as to satisfy the ontological security of our citizens, lax immigration policies will temporarily be replaced with stricter quotas for Jakub entities. Additionally, the Peerage will ensure proper protection of its citizens by designating a portion of Royal Armed Forces’ Officer Corps near our southern border with Jakub.”
The media has noted unwilling and apathetic tonal intonation which the Grand Duke had during this address, interprating it as an unwilling but procedural “Song and dance” over Jakubian statements which have not been taken seriously.

Keanuan Foreign Minister Princess Kauai describes the “Index” produced by Eflad as the basis for their trade policy as unjustly punishing states that otherwise perform well but are vulnerable to climate change. For a relatively high emitting state like Eflad, this has been described by the FM as “Like an abusive husband hitting his wife for having bruises”
