The Ryccian junta has given a statement to the nation in Ryccian state TV. Accusing Doge Landian troops of attacking Ryccian border forces, the junta “saw it fit to defend the nation with all means available to us”. The junta demands the withdrawal of all Izaakian bases to cease hostilities.

Mirrey has ordered all Ryccian troops to cease hostilities against Doge Land immediately. Given that they do not command said units, this is expected to be a symbolic gesture. Mirrey has offered to send its own military advisors to Doge Land for assistance.

The Chancellor has been escorted by two police officers off-duty after a call from his secretary led him to shout profane rants on the Ryccia-Doge Land situation towards fellow passengers on the public train he usually takes to the Federal Chancellery. He may be liable for public nuisance and may be getting an official police caution for the rant by the Federal Police.

Following the sudden attack on Doge Land by the Ryccian Junta, Chancellor Friedrich Müller denounces Ryccia for the “unjustified attack on Doge Land” and “Demand(s) the Junta to call off any aggression against Doge Land”.
After the announcement, the Grenzschutz begins preparing extensive defenses along Weisserstein’s border. The Reichsmarine and Luftwaffe are put on high alert and are tasked with patroling Weisserstein’s ocean and aerial territory. The Reichsheer are also mobilized, and there has also been talks of mobilizing the Reserves.
Besides the mobilization, Weisserstein has also begin sending weapons and supplies to Doge Land via sea.
Gunfire has been heard in the capital, Castiana, after spontaneous riots targeted military installations and government buildings. The junta has dispatched tanks and bombers to quell the “uprising”.

Several Ryccian commanders in Valora have begun to withdraw their units without the junta’s authorization. A few of them have even started skirmishes with autocrat troops. It is believed the junta has largely lost control of the army units stationed in Valora.

The Ministry of Defense has approved the allocation of 2 battalions from the Treisag Regiment as support groups to the forces of Huawan in their efforts against Ryccia. Command of these two battalions will be transferred to Huawan with Besernian supervision until the end of the conflict or otherwise. Transport arrangements are underway and should proceed swiftly.
