Yayyára, Krauanagaz — A senior State Department source has confirmed that Krauanagaz and Zuhlgan have reached an agreement on the release of the 16 foreign journalists who remain in detention after being surreptitiously arrested in early April while covering Zuhlgan’s National Direction Conference.

The source indicated that final arrangements are being made for their transfer out of Zuhlgan within the coming days, though neither government has yet issued an official statement. Among those being held by Zuhlgan are 5 Emeraldian, and 4 Izaakian citizens, who are reportedly included in the agreement.

This development follows months of high-level negotiations, mounting international pressure, and growing concern from media watchdogs over the journalists’ treatment and safety.
