President Button accuses Zhuglan of attempting to intimidate the population of the Free Peoples of Okhoa. Saying the increased military presence and violence in the state are unacceptable, and only exists to break the spirit and resolve of the Okhoan nationalist movement ahead of a scheduled “referendum”.
He accused the Zhuglan government of trying to mislead the international community, and the Okhoan people with their baseless claims of Izaakian interference. In an attmpt to create a false sense of foreign interference in the politics of Okhoa. The president went on to call this a most cynical slander.
He concluded by saying that Zhuglan is not a reliable partner for peace and stability in the West Izaakian Sea. He said that the interests of Izaakia, the Okhoan People and Regional Security are aligned, and that the only positive outcome is for Okhoan independence. He called for international election monitors, and said that the USI will support the Okhoan nation and ensure that a vote for independence is honoured.
