A comprehensive Environmental Protection Act aiming at combating pollution and fostering sustainable development nationwide was passed by the Coalitanian People’s Union Senate in a historic move. The CNP overwhelmingly supported the new legislation, which sets ambitious targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and boosting the usage of renewable energy sources.

Several important provisions are included in the Environmental Protection Act, including:

A decrease in carbon emissions of 30% by 2030
Incentives for companies implementing eco-friendly technologies
More financing for projects related to public transportation
Stricter guidelines for the handling of industrial waste
Nationwide tree-planting campaigns.

The Act was commended by Prime Minister Luciana Valdez, who said, “This is a monumental step forward for Alcoalitania.” By putting these policies into place, we’re not only protecting the environment but also our residents’ health in the future. This law reflects our dedication to sustainable development and our obligation to the international community."

Environmental organizations have praised the Act as well, stating that it is an important and timely measure.
