The Cabinet of the South Pacific

Statement from the Minister of Integration United Disney States

Hello everyone! Hope you’re all having a great morning, afternoon, or evening!

The citcomm-templates used by the Citizenship Committee haven’t been updated for a while, and was mainly just to suggest folks to join our Discord server. In the Ministry of Integration, we’ve been actively working on new templates with the hope of:

  • Advertising opportunities in our community more directly to new citizens,
  • Highlight aspects of our community that don’t require citizenship, and
  • Provide citizens with a clearer sense of the opportunities newly available to them.

You will find below the attached new Pending and Accepted Cit-Comm templates:

While we process your citizenship application, there are ways to get involved in our community right away! Some favorites among us South Pacificans include:

  • Our Discord server, a great place to chat or ask questions. You can also find casual discussions and spam games in the Lampshade Bar and Grill.
  • Our regional legislature, the Assembly. It’s open to the public, even if you’re not yet a citizen.
  • Our roleplay. Check out Pacifica for modern-tech, A1-0 for sci-fi, and Aurora for medieval fantasy worlds to build your nation’s lore in.
  • Curious about our forums? Check out SPSF for news about our regional military and High Court for updates from our judicial branch.

Congratulations on becoming a citizen! You’ve unlocked access to some exciting new opportunities here in the South Pacific. Here are some suggestions to get you started:

  • If you haven’t done so yet, you can join our Discord server here. Now that you’re a citizen, you’ve also gained access to an exclusive role with its own fancy color.
  • You can now vote in our elections! By default, you’ve been subscribed to notifications in Election Central, where our elections are held. To keep your citizenship active, just make sure to cast a ballot when our elections roll around.
  • Interested in lawmaking? Citizens can join the Assembly, our regional legislature. You can apply here! (Don’t worry, it’s a much shorter application than this one.)
  • You can join our regional military, the South Pacific Special Forces (SPSF). Just fill out the welcome wizard again, but check the box for joining the SPSF! The SPSF offers fast-paced, dynamic action while protecting innocent regions from invading forces that want to conquer them.
  • As a reminder, you don’t have to be a citizen to participate in roleplay! Check out Pacifica for a realistic, modern-tech setting; A1-0 for a science fiction universe, or Aurora for a medieval-era fantasy roleplay.

This is an ‘RFC’ — a Request for Comments; these templates are not yet live. We’re excited to share what we’ve been working on and welcome feedback and suggestions from the community.

These templates are excellent, well thought out and a clear improvement over the previous messages. The only suggestion I have is to consider adding a reference to desserts, SPIT, lampshades, or llamas as a fun way to highlight TSP culture.

If anybody has any more feedback, we’d love to hear it! Otherwise, we’re moving closer to putting these templates into effect.

I know the key activities are bolded, but I think it’d be best to make them a short single first sentence so that they’re the first thing people read if they won’t read anything else in each paragraph. For example: “Make laws in the Assembly!, followed by the longer explanation that’s already there.
