CHAPTER VII - Koobeton Fights The Dragon Lizard (FINALE)
As he plans to fight Koobeton, the dragon lizard first looks for him, running in the city. Since he could only turn into a dragon, he couldn’t turn into a human; therefore he couldn’t ask the citizens of Tabac if they have seen Koobeton.
He goes to the forest, his natural habitat. He finds Koobeton there. Suddenly, he sees a human person, with an orange mask. The dragon lizard looks at a picture of Koobeton. He has an orange mask.
The dragon lizards decides to run to Koobeton, and bite his leg. Since he is a Komodo dragon, a type of dragon lizard, his sharp teeth can make the injury on a human fatal. Koobeton gets angry as the dragon lizard bites it. He attempts to use his laser eyes to hit the dragon lizard. At first, the dragon lizard dodges, accidentally hitting Koobeton’s own leg, which he shouts in pain. But that pain didn’t stop him from fighting, so the next hit, he successfully hits. The dragon lizard gets angered and turns into a big dragon.
The dragon starts breathing fire and tries to burn Koobeton, but instead burned one of his allies, who was still recovering from the injuries sustained from the fight with Owu. He rolled down and sustained first-degree burns. Koobeton got angered and started flying to hit him. Despite his leg starting to get infected, with bleeding in it, he still was able to fly easily and turn into a wolf to bite the dragon. The dragon shouted in pain and started to get angry. The remaining allies start hitting the dragon with their laser eyes. The dragon shouted in pain. The dragon starts to experienced being deep fried by Koobeton and his team’s laser eyes, turning his wings into deep fried wings, and turning the dragon’s feet into stewed feet. The dragon falls down, and turns back into a dragon lizard, where Koobeton’s teammates bite the dragon lizard, making him trapped while being injured. The dragon lizard turns back into a dragon, but it was too late. The biting was strong that he can’t get out. Koobeton lasers him, and turns him into dragon meat.
Koobeton once again won his 4th fight, and his final one. Him and his allies eat. They say it has a rich and dense taste, and has a gamey taste. They didn’t know if it was poisonous, until they both started experiencing fast heartbeat, then a slow one and after that, their heart stopped, dying. Koobeton’s last words before dying was this:
“Dragon meat tastes strong, and spicy. Feels sinewy and tender. Tail base, jowls, spine meat, liver and brain are my favorite. A random fact from me. Symptoms of poisoning includes rapid breathing, or slow breathing. I can still breathe normally, oh wait, I forgot another one. Not breathing. That’s what I am experiencing. Screw this, I can’t breathe. At least let me write it in my notebook, my name is Koobeton! I represent a notebook full of memories!”
The first ally said his last words as Koobeton dies.
“My heart feels different. But the wings, feet, and the shoulders taste good. My mouth is drooling by the taste right now.”
The second ally, watching their two allies die, says his last words too:
“Our bites were strong due to our jaws… Are you guys alright? It seems like you guys are sleeping, I hope you guys didn’t faint or die from the tender, boiled, pickled and fried dragon meat we had. I can breath normally, oh wait, I need to breathe fast, I don’t feel too good. I can’t breathe…”
The last ally, watching as each of his allies die one-by-one, says his last words.
“We all join our dead allies… I just hope our enemies are in Hell, and we go to Heaven, after 40 days in purgatory. My stomach hurts. Can you guys hear me? Did you guys faint or something? Imagine fainting on a dense meat, denser than beef, fills up the stomach, tough but rich… I like the bones and the meat. Adds up flavor when I lick the bone. I lose my vision, and we all die. I know.”
A Tabac citizen soon finds the four bodies dead, and reports it to the police station. The country’s posterman announces the death of Koobeton and his allies, which at the time took over the 2nd, 3rd and 4th highest positions in the government while Koobeton took the 1st highest position. A funeral soon started in the Church of Tabac. The citizens considered those 4 as national heroes, as families, friends, relatives, and people attend the funeral. After that, they cremate Koobeton and the allies and threw the ashes in the sea. Autopsy results released that they ate some of the toxins of the meat. It was kind of raw. There were no people whose job was to expertise in culinary arts. It wasn’t a meat for power, pain-killing and something that symbolizes wealth and definitely not a notebook full of memories. Rather the taste that the citizens describe, was a potion of poison that looks like it’s for high status people. They ate a piece of dragon lizard meat, in which dragon lizards are venomous. All 4 were just at the age of 30 when they died. Rest in peace.
Soon, statues of them were erected in Tabac as part of their legacy. Brianna, the mom of Koobeton, became Successor, being Pre-Queen of Tabac as part of preserving his legacy. Namera was soon named to Name 0, representing Koobeton’s favorite number, 0. An earthquake suddenly happened, being a magnitude 6.7, with an intensity scale of VI-VII (Strong to Very Strong) in the entire present Name 0ian area, causing a continental drift, with new lands and new mountains. Out of the 625,000 people living in present Name 0, 50,000 died in Name 0 all around the lands from Nochbuk to Cazarkastan. The crazy part was the 4 statues didn’t fall down, showing the true strength of Koobeton and the allies. The capital city of Tabac, named Kubhecon, was renamed to Koansoat, to this day being the same, mixing the 4 heroes’ names. Many places were renamed in Tabac, named after them to this day, such as Koobeton Castle, Gianni Beach, Alfonso’s Church, and Athena’s Hospital. In Namuist culture, they became saints of all amazing characteristics, such as being a strong fighter due to biting skills, safety for earthquakes, etc.. They were beatified and canonized by Pope Jacepiukszy I.
