January 2026 Prime Minister Election

This is an election for Prime Minister of the South Pacific and Craziest Person of the South Pacific conducted under instant-runoff vote.

THIS ELECTION IS HELD UNDER
INSTANT-RUNOFF VOTE
YOU MUST RANK SOME OR ALL CANDIDATES BY DESCENDING ORDER OF PREFERENCE

IMPORTANT - READ BEFORE VOTING
Failure to follow these instructions will render your vote invalid.
  1. This election is held under instant-runoff vote, so you must assign a numeric rank in descending order of preference (i.e. from most to least preferred) to at least one candidate and/or the option to re-open nominations.

  2. You may only vote for candidates already listed on the ballot and with the names as written on said ballot; voting for unlisted candidates or listing candidates under mistyped names or nicknames is not allowed.

    3. [Only for Craziest Person] You may add unlisted candidates to your ballot. The Election Commission apologizes if any person who declared for Craziest Person is not on the ballot.

  3. You may only vote during the period listed below; voting before or after that period is not allowed.

    2026-01-20T17:00:00Z ➔ 2026-01-23T17:00:00Z

  4. You may only vote if you are a citizen who was admitted on or before the date below.

    5. Voter Eligibility Cutoff
    2026-01-15T16:00:00Z


HOW TO CAST A VOTE?

To cast a vote follow the steps listed below:

  1. Open a private message to the Election Commissioner through the "New Ballot" button below.

  2. Copy and paste the following template into your ballot:

Proclamation of Results

January 2026 Prime Minister Election

The whole number of citizens eligible to vote for Prime Minister of the South Pacific is 73; within that whole number the citizens who cast a vote are 35 and the citizens who cast a valid vote are 35.

The state of the vote for Prime Minister of the South Pacific is as follows:

  • Of_the_Ages | 25 first preferences | 71.43% in the first round Elected

  • Re-Open Nominations | 10 first preferences | 28.57% in the first round

6 votes did not indicate a numeric rank, and instead left a mark next to exactly one candidate. Since there were only two candidates, these ballots were interpreted as a ballot indicating a first-preference vote for one candidate only, but even if discounted, they would have been immaterial to the result of the election given the margin of victory for the elected candidate.

This announcement of the state of the vote by the Election Commissioner shall be deemed a sufficient declaration of the person elected Prime Minister of the South Pacific for the term beginning 2026-02-01T14:00:00Z.

The state of the vote shall be entered, together with the lists of votes cast, on the Election Management Portal.

I fully intend to appoint a MoC, as I do not believe I can handle the duties of both PM and MoC at once, nor do I want to. By carry my MoC term into my PM term I largely meant in reference to the agenda I want to see executed.
