January 2025 Regional Election

This is an election for Delegate of the South Pacific, Prime Minister of the South Pacific, and Craziest Person of the South Pacific.

IMPORTANT - READ BEFORE DECLARING
Failure to follow these instructions will render your candidacy invalid.
  • [Delegate Only] You must have become a World Assembly member no later than the following date:

    2025-01-15T14:00:00Z

  • You must have been admitted as a citizen by the Citizenship Committee no later than the following date:

    2025-01-15T14:00:00Z

  • You must declare your candidacy as a response to this topic, and separately post a campaign within this category, no later than the following date:

    2025-01-19T14:00:00Z

  • Your campaign must contain a complete and truthful disclosure of all your possible conflicts of interest within NationStates.

The Elections Act contains further information on the requirements for participation in this election.

I’m going for delegacy

I didn’t realize my endorsements fell below the amount allowed but I see that there is a new law

Uhh am I allowed to run or no

If yes consider this me throwing my hat into the ring

You no longer need to consider the endorsements requirement, but you do need to be a World Assembly member.

I’m honored by the nomination, and I’d love to run for PM as I said I’d try and do a few months ago. Unfortunately I do not think I will have the time due to irl stuff, so I must turn down the nomination.

Since I have been nominated as Prime Minister, I would like to say the following:

I would like to thank @Erstavik for the nomination - I am truly humbled and grateful for his friendship and confidence in me.

But after much consideration, I must decline the nomination.

I already have a busy schedule within my personal college life - and I would fear that if I am to run as Prime Minister now, I would not be able to perform my duties were I elected due to those personal matters and a tight schedule. However, I am considering a run for potentially the next election - it all depends on what my future will look like by then.

Again, I have much gratitude to @Erstavik for his consideration of nominating me - I consider him a true friend and I hope we can maintain a strong friendship.

But I must regrettably decline the nomination.
