Yvan Borzhnov, chief of the Byuro Agentstva Kosmicheskikh Issledovaniy (BAKI), announced the plan to replace the Grom-1 satellite.
Leoned Vlazhnev: No Military in Politics
The Novovaritsyan president, Leonid Vlazhnev, declared that the new law prohibits any active-duty military personnel from involving themselves in any political affairs.

Federation Ground Forces personnel from the 27th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade were ambushed by Ilyatchen Warriors in Moryatka, Lyutstatin. Colonel Iven Sorgynev stated that the ambush took place at 6:17 AM in the Moryatka Highland near Mount Lyutstatin, the outpost for the Federation Army to this day.
The attack happened when Colonel Sorgynev was on his way towards Mount Lyutstatin to replace the previous brigade stationed in the same place. Sorgynev claimed that he heard sounds coming from the forest, and then he watched a truck hit a Bronevik V6 and explode, immobilizing the APC. Fire contact between the 27th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade and the Ilyatchen fighters lasted for around an hour and a half until Sorgynev’s men forced the Ilyatchen fighters to retreat.
The ambush caused the deaths of six Novovaritsyan soldiers, injured 11 Novovaritsyan soldiers, and immobilized a V6. Sorgynev stated that his men killed around 14 Ilyatchen soldiers thanks to their RPGs and their IFVs. The brigade was left in the middle of their way towards Mount Lyutstatin, and the engineer and medical units are currently on their way to help fix the V6 and to bring the dead and wounded to the camp.

Yvan Borzhnov, chief of the Byuro Agentstva Kosmicheskikh Issledovaniy (BAKI), announced the plan to replace the Grom-1 satellite, which was launched in the middle of the socialist regime to mark Novovaritsyan involvement in space affairs.
Borzhnov stated that the old Grom-1 satellite is outdated technologically and that it has to be retired. He leaked the plan regarding the retirement and replacement of the Grom-1 satellite with the new and more technologically capable Grom-2 satellite and Burya-7 satellite. Borzhnov stated that the construction of the Grom-2 and Burya-7 satellites is underway and that the government is funding the project.
Borzhnov stated that the cost of the construction will be around 1.5 million each and will take around three to five years to be fully completed. Borzhnov also stated that he will routinely oversee the construction in order to make sure nothing is missing.

The Novovaritsyan president, Leonid Vlazhnev, declared that the new law prohibits any active-duty military personnel from involving themselves in any political affairs. President Vlazhnev stated that he took this action to prevent coups from being staged and to ensure the stability of the country’s government.
President Vlazhnev had to argue with the high-ranking Novovaritsyan government officials in order to remove the military from being involved in political affairs. The chief of the Novovaritsyan MKA, Borys Eznovich, who happens to be a former military officer, argued with the president regarding his action, although later the law passed through legislation and is now written in the Novovaritsyan Code of Law.

In August 2021, the Ilyatchen Liberation Front destroyed a Novovaritsyan governmental building in Ilyatchka, resulting in the deployment of the Novovaritsyan Armed Forces to the region. Since then, many Novovaritsyan soldiers have been killed by the Ilyatchen fighters, and many military vehicles have been destroyed, stolen, or abandoned.
The Novovaritsyan minister of defense, Ergus Verzhnetko, declared that since August 2021, Novovaritsya has lost around 800 soldiers, 18 tanks, and 72 IFVs during the counterterrorism operation. Verzhnetko also claimed that the Ilyatchen fighters have killed around 270 civilians since August 2021. The Roskov University agreed with the number of civilians killed by Ilyatchen fighters, although they also claimed that the Federation Army also killed around 170 Ilyatchen civilians during the bombing of Retkav.
The ministry of defense stated that they are going to increase the number of Federation Army personnel in Lyutstatin to suppress Ilyatchen fighters and end the conflict as soon as possible. Verzhnetko stated that he had already deployed around 200 Novovaritsyan soldiers, including 50 Spetsnaz soldiers, to Lyutstatin.

For almost a year, General Erzon Rhazinov has been trusted by the previous president and the current president of Novovaritsya to lead the counterterrorism operation in Lyutstatin. The two presidents wanted the conflict to be ended in less than two months, although Rhazinov could not make it a reality.
According to the war reports, General Rhazinov has not yet accomplished many military victories in Lyutstatin, including in Ilyatchka, the capital of Lyutstatin. However, on the other hand, much of the government money seems to have no effect on the Federation Army in Lyutstatin. Was his invincibility invisible, or was it because of corruption?
According to the ministry of defense and the Novovaritsyan National Police, General Rhazinov’s treasury has been checked several times, and they have declared that the general has no sign regarding the money given by the government. The ministry of defense and the Novovaritsyan National Police declared that Rhazinov was suspected of corruption, although they found no evidence regarding their accusation.

The Novovaritsyan military was seen retreating from Chernutka, one of the eight key locations in Lyutstatin. Novovaritsyan soldiers claimed that Ilyatchen fighters were armed with heavy weapons such as stolen tanks and IFVs from the Federation Army.
A week before the Novovaritsyan soldiers retreated from Chernutka, the Ilyatchen Armed Forces were heavily attacked by Ilyatchen fighters, resulting in the city being destroyed due to several bombing campaigns by the Ilyatchen fighters and the Federation Air Force. The presence of VDV in the city became the reason why Ilyatchen fighters were defeated for three days.
A surprise attack was launched by Ilyatchen fighters, which would be the reason behind the Novovaritsyan defeat over Chernutka. The ministry of defense claimed that they were retreating and suffered 397 casualties, while also claiming that around 1,020 Ilyatchen fighters were killed in Chernutka. The ministry of defense also claimed that the Spetsnaz would be sent to Chernutka to destroy the Ilyatchen forces in the city.

A month ago, a Novovaritsyan rocket carrying six scientists successfully launched and delivered the six scientists to Moon Maxima. The six scientists were transported to the moon to study outer space and to imagine what the future of space would look like in the eyes of all Varitsyans.
The six scientists returned to Novovaritsya safely and explained their vision to all Byuro Agentstva Kosmicheskikh Issledovaniy (BAKI) officers, leading to the establishment of a moonbase on the moon. The project was accepted by all BAKI officers, and thus, Project Cosmo-Sci was continued again. The project was paused when the socialist regime fell. Yvan Borzhnov, chief of the BAKI, declared that the Cosmo-Sci project was only the beginning of the future of the Novovaritsyan space program.
Borzhnov also claimed that they would work on the project after the Grom-2 satellite and the Burya-7 satellite were finished. Borzhnov declared that he did that because the BAKI is lacking the government’s economic support.
