From the Ministry of Natural Resources and Wildlife:
"FiHami, it’s that time again! As the Rainy season passes us by, please refresh your memory on wildfire prevention.
Wear lots of warm colors and shiny objects to simulate fire in the eyes of the fire falcon.
Keep a 20 meter radius around your home shrub-free, wildfires can’t spread if there’s no fuel.
Don’t leave grills and bonfires unattended.
Don’t attempt to sacrifice your firstborn to Ri-Ha’Fi-Nix. This is illegal in Finixi religion, always has been. This is also illegal in FiHami law, punishable by up to 50 years in prison for attempted murder and child endangerment. This practice also drastically increases the risk of deadly fire falcon attack and out-of-control wildfires.
Thank YOU for making FiHami a place worth preserving!"
This message is brought to you by the office of Corohanai Benjamin Harris and FiHami law enforcement.
On September 17th 2024 at approximately 11:20pm, a train was derailed on the mountainous stretch between Huah-Huah and Hotamix stations, bound for Huah-Huah and later Ha’Hani. There were approximately 145 passengers aboard, including acting chief Hana Pua’shi. Rescue teams dispatched as soon as the conductor sounded the alarm rushed to the scene, recovering 59 injured passengers in critical condition. 47 people have been confirmed dead, but many, including the Acting Chief, remain missing.
Per FiHami succession laws, Corohanai Benjamin Harris will assume the role of Acting Chief until Acting Chief Hana Pua’shi resumes office or Coron’shi Finix Fi’Shi graduates the legally-required education.
Please keep clear of the area until further notice. Rail Service between Huah-Huah and Hotomix will be suspended until further notice. Law Enforcement is investigating the cause of the derailment, if you have further information please submit a tip online and a detective will be in touch as soon as possible.
This is a direct message from Acting Chief Benjamin Harris.
"Dear FiHami,
Our beloved leader Hana Pua’shi was found dead on scene this morning as rescue teams tirelessly worked to save 97 people who survived the incident, thanks to Hana’s quick thinking and sacrifice, as survivors recounted.
Thanks to Hana Pua’shi, FiHami’s situation has improved drastically. Our nation’s economy has been revitalized thanks to her actions. Our nation’s education has greatly improved, FiHami’s divisions have truly been unified. Truly, we thank Hana for her tireless devotion to FiHami until the very end.
Hana’s public memorial service will be held on September 23rd."
Kirifi FiHami! Since Mr. Harris is now serving as temporary head of state, I am now the Prime Minister until the election cycle is done per FiHami’s succession law. As you know, I am not in the running for PM nor do I ever intend to be. As the temporary PM, however, I will see to it that nothing falls apart and Mr. Harris’ agenda is covered.
On that note, I am proud to unveil the fruits of Mr. Harris’ hard work as Prime Minister with a new agency, under the Minister of Health and Safety Shifi’a’s wing. The Youth Protection Agency will be made a public institution, given more ability to act on investigations, taking the burden of acting on cases away from the FiHami Law Enforcement Agency. This project has been a part of a larger rollout of laws and regulations regarding child safety in FiHami.
There will be a bit more in the coming weeks, so stay tuned! And remember to vote!
