Emeraldian Royal Navy-The Ships That Defined It

Emeraldian Royal Navy
Naval Jack:

The Emeraldian Royal Navy, established 1756, has been a constant in the Unified Emeraldian Armed Forces, having seen combat all over the region, from Cimbria to Krauanagaz to Spiras, the ERN has had its share of Notable and even Famous Warships, from ships that revolutionized Naval Tech within the navy to those who fought in multiple battles to ships with brave stories, spawning a name lineage in their own right. This thread will do just that, detail the ships that would define the ERN, for better or for worst.

Now, to preface this now, but nobody, except for the RP Mods, will reply to this thread but me.

ERNS Jylland BB-09
Emral Class Superdreadnought
Commissioned 1922
Decommissioned 1960
Fate: Museum Ship, Copenhagen

The ERNS Jylland (BB-09), the ERN’s star ship during the Great War, seeing combat for the first time in the Attack On Copenhagen, claiming 1 Karnetvorian Dreadnought, and 2 Light Cruisers. The ship had been modernized in the early forties with state of the art equipment(at the time) and a much improved, and experimental, armor scheme, something shared with sister ship ERNS Centralia (BB-10). This allowed the vessels to survive hits they shouldn’t have survived. A notable example of this would be during the Brevero Sea Campaign, where the Jylland would manage to survive multiple aerial torpedo impacts and dive bomb attacks, receiving moderate damage, and would score a kill against a Narussian Carrier and 3 of her escorts. However, the battle meant the Jylland would be drydocked for under water repairs, missing the Cimbria Campaign. When repairs were finished, the Jylland would be transferred south to Termina, taking part in the Battles of the Tasternine Sea and Foreseas. Eventually, the war would end, and the Jylland would be placed on occupation duty in Karnetvor, before being later transferred to Krauanagaz to assist in mostly fire support missions, with the only exception being her last ever kill against an equally as old Mitalldukish Dreadnought, the X. By 1960 however, her age had finally caught up with her, and she would depart Krauanagaz for Copenhagen to be decommissioned. It was decided she would become a Museum ship, to ensure future generations would know her story. She would be succeeded by the Centralia Class Fleet Battleship ERNS Jylland BB-13.

ERNS Faroe C-01
Faroe Class Cruiser
Commissioned August 20th, 1901
Stricken October 3rd, 1949
Fate: Sunk Oceanus Harbor, Faroe Incident

The ERNS Faroe (C-01), Emerald’s first proper cruiser, along with being one of the two oldest ships in the navy by the time of the Great War, having been retrofitted numerous times, so much to the point her later crews would often joke that each new refit was basically a new ship every time, which would be partially correct. What she’s most known for, however, is the Faroe Incident. On the morning of October 3rd, 1949, the ERNS Faroe (C-01) would be anchored in Oceanus Harbor, waiting to leave after refueling the day prior. Unfortunately, this day would be the same day Karnetvorian Bombers would take off from their Crabry Colony to bombard Oceanus and any Allied Vessel in its harbor, the Faroe would be mistaken for a Sedunnic Heavy Cruiser and would be targeted heavily. The Faroe, despite its most recent modernization only 2 years ago, didn’t stand a chance. The Faroe would be quickly sunk, taking most of her crew with her. This would also begin the streak of bad luck a one Commander Raven would endure for much of the early war. Following the incident, Karnetvor would issue a formal apology to the Emeraldian Government. The Emeraldian Public was outraged over the incident, and, ensuring to honor those lost, the ERNS Kingston (CG-09), a barely ten year old ship, would be renamed to the ERNS Faroe (CG-09). The ERNS Faroe (C-01)'s wreck would be rediscovered in 1992, and designated a war grave, with a memorial to her fallen sailors erected nearby, with one also being erected in Edwardia in 2002. Today, the ships legacy is carried on by the ERNS Faroe (CGM-33), a Zealand Class Guided Missile Cruiser.
