Even though we spent most of the month in one of the longest liberation attempts in NS history, we still had a large uptick in defenses and detags, largely owed to a 123 defenses chasing run at the end of the year.

Notable Operations
Most of the month was spent trying to liberate Alcatraz from invaders, but unfortunately after 25 days of sieging and watching it was refounded by raiders on the 29th. However, the end of the month saw a resurgence in day-to-day activity, with a 123 defenses chase (the most in several months) and large detag runs of 38 and 32 detags.

Congrats to @Shibuya-Kanon for again having the most updates attended and detags! However, this month Kimaeus had the most defenses beating out @Banexet by 1 defense. Shibuya-Kanon got the third most defenses in December, and Kimaeus had the third most updates and detags.
Tidal Force Recap
This month marked the second month of the Tidal Force, our off-update defender force, since its revival. This force is for people who want to participate in the SPSF, but cannot attend update or don’t have Discord. In December, the Tidal Force detagged 8 regions (accepts, Yelloworth, Baltija, Lerodas, accepts again, Novus, Cryptia, and OuterOuterOuterOuterOuter Space) and had one support (The North Pacific). Contact and Conclusion
Though we lost in Alcatraz, we experienced an uptick in day-to-day activity at the end of the month. Thanks to everyone who joined the fight to defend this month! All of you are a part of why we are one of the premier defender organizations in NationStates.
