Thank you for the nominations, but I feel like I should have a little more government/ legislative experience before I were to run for the highest seat in the Coalition.
If the only reason behind declining is that you don’t feel you have enough experience, please run anyways! If you want to be in executive governance even in lower positions or just generally, you should run. It’s always better to have more candidates, as it always brings more ideas to the table, and more energy to the room.
With cognizance of my capabilities, I cordially decline my nomination for PM because I most definitely, most assuringly, with great confidence, do not want to be PM.
I unfortunately decline as exam season is right in the middle of this term, and I wouldn’t be able to keep up an acceptable level of activity for a PM.
