Could the Cabinet and Wardroom groups be granted the ability to edit posts in NationStates Discussion Centre > Citizen Applications to be able to adjust tags for aid in the processing and record keeping of applications?
That category has a restricted set of tags — please advise on what tags you’d like to use.
I’d like four tags for each type of application, a pending, closed, accepted, and rejected tag for each of culture, recruiter, ambassador, and SPSF apps:
Tags List Example
Culture App Pending
Culture App Closed
Culture App Accepted
Culture App Rejected
Recruiter App Pending
Recruiter App Closed
Recruiter App Accepted
Recruiter App Rejected
Ambassador App Pending
Ambassador App Closed
Ambassador App Accepted
Ambassador App Rejected
SPSF App Pending
SPSF App Closed
SPSF App Accepted
SPSF App Rejected
I’m not sure if tags for “doesnt have this kind of application” would be helpful, and depending on CitComm/SPSF/Executive opinions might be good to add, but I’ll follow up if those are deemed needed.
The existing citizenship application tags would need to also be renamed to differentiate them from the above tags.
Example
Citizenship App Pending
Citizenship App Closed
Citizenship App Accepted
Citizenship App Rejected
Additionally I was looking into how discourse tags work and was reading about tag groups. Would it be feasible or helpful if tags were restricted to max one per group, with the groups being type of application (Citizenship, SPSF, culture, recruiter, ambassador)? I was thinking it might be convenient with the spike in tags in the category.
We currently limit tags to being all lowercase, without spaces, and no more than 20 characters in length. Does ambassador-rejected etc. work?
Absolutely
Done.
Could the tags for citizenship applications (accepted-application, rejected-application, closed-application, and pending-application) be renamed to fit with the naming scheme of the executive and SPSF applications to avoid confusion?
Done.
