Whatever y’all decide… just be sure you don’t change the Delegate position name. That name is codified in-game, so it would look rather weird to say our Delegate is a “President/etc.” everywhere but in-game.
Yes, I know other regions call their heads different, but its been a long-established (literally since the beginning) tradition to call the Delegate, the Delegate.
that’s a silly reason. The Prime Minister is the head of government and they are prime among the ministers. Looking at analogous RL governments and saying “well this one doesn’t actually align perfectly” isn’t a reason to change something that works just fine.
Just chiming in to say that it’s not unheard of to directly elect a prime minister, even if most RL parliamentary nations don’t. It was done for a few years in Israel.
@UncleJoe still wondering about this comment. I understand this sort of discussion comes up every now and then in the Assembly but I never understand why exactly people are so set on changing the prime minister’s title.
I especially don’t understand why the title “doesn’t fit our government” if Oxford defines a prime minister as “the head of an elected government.” Our Charter tells us that the prime minister is the “head of government.” Seems like it fits our government.
