This thread should be limited to discussion relating to the retention vote for the particular official(s) in the Admiralty, or relating to any mistakes in the list presented above.

LordNwahs
Chair of the Assembly

Your Excellency:

As a member of the Assembly who is not very well-versed in the SPSF and the Admiralty, I would greatly appreciate it if you could briefly discuss the kind of work you have been doing as an admiral recently and explain why we should vote to retain you.

I look forward to your response.

What role are you as Admiral taking on in running the SPSF?

Hello! Both of y’all are asking pretty much the same thing, so I’ll just respond to both here.

Late 2024 and 2025 has been a bit of a slow year for TSP compared to earlier, but this is also reflected in defending as a whole. This is, I think, mainly due to the advent of frontiers and strongholds. In the past, like when I joined up, defending was exciting, as we were constantly going to battle for vibrant communities in historical regions. It was easy to sway people to join and keep them hooked.

However, frontiers and strongholds have changed that a bit. These historical regions are now secure forever, and the regions that are left to raid either 1.) have no community or 2.) are do not defends because of bigotry. There is still activity at every update of course, but rarely are there the big, coming together liberations that I remember during 2023 for example.

Tldr, defending has changed when I first joined up and took on leadership roles, and I and my Officer Corps have had to adapt to that. As the sole Admiral, I really have just taken on similar duties to my time as Minister of Defense. These include recruiting new members, giving guidance to the Officers, and serving as the point of contact in Libcord for the SPSF.

However, I think it’s clear to see that we can be doing better. Activity and positive energy feeds more activity and more positivity, as those who were in the SPSF in the past periods I was talking about can attest to. As such, I am always open to new ideas for how we can improve. I think it would be fun to maybe organize card giveaways with Drew’s Ministry or events such as sole SPSF detagging. As my midterms are coming to a close, I should be able to get the ball rolling on these activities.

Please let me know if you would like to know anything else and how more I can be of use to you all. I may be the only Admiral left, but I’m giving it what I got!

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed response; I greatly appreciate it.

What do you think are some potential ways to increase SPSF recruitment? You mentioned that activity has slowed due to the advent of frontiers and strongholds. Given these new circumstances, is there another way SPSF could become more active?

From what I’ve heard, you’ve been doing an excellent job!

I like this idea a lot!

I greatly appreciate all the work you’ve been doing for the SPSF and our region. You will certainly have my resounding “yes” in this retention vote! :slightly_smiling_face:
