You just made my mind click on “trade in” and “positive expected value”. Could we possibly do something like bonds irl but with cards?
Do you plan on doing this in TSP? I’ve seen this in other regions and I think it’s a great idea to implement here, but given that we are a feeder it will be a bit more challenging due to the large number of new nations. How do you plan on tackling that, assuming that this is something you plan to implement?
I definitely see where you see this as a great idea! TEP does it and there a feeder. I like to implement this but it could be challenging. I could possibly ask how TEP does it. I know they have a puppet they use it. But there is definitely some bot they use to copy and paste all new nations made ex amount of time ago. I definitely see this as a project worth noting. Or another way I could do it is establish a team that will be on all different hours looking and copy and pasting all the nations from the hour and make a welcome post that I will design and that this team will use. This will be something me and the Prime Minister will talk about and how we can implement this term.
Instead of gambling, we could have frequent giveaways and incentives for joining the program (i.e. doing certain tasks to earn a legendary)
Since no other questions has been raised. It’s safe to say possibly we can motion this to a vote soon?
Since nobody asked, what FA-specific plans does the MoFA-nominee have in mind?
I would actually push back a bit on the idea of ‘FA-specific’ plans. Foreign Affairs can have a tendency to end up as its own isolated island of policy and politics. I’d like to combine our diplomacy with greater engagement with other parts of our government, such as by holding joint cultural events with allies and partners or exchanging integration best practices and lessons learned (including but not limited to recruitment).
I don’t mean to rush things along right after answering a question, but as it has been over a week since I submitted these nominations to the Assembly, so I motion each of them to a vote.
If everything is ok I second the motion to go to a vote. If it’s ok to now go to a vote.
Second recognized, I’ll start the vote soon.
@Pronoun, do you intend to put the nomination of @lordnwahs as OWL Director to a vote? See: World Assembly Act.
I don’t think a vote as needed? At least for me this reads like the OWL Director just stays in office until dismissed (or recalled).
Are you sure? Since Lordnwahs technically had a vote last time.
We are at a vote!
That’s true, but I can’t find any provision of law requiring it (or making it possible, for that matter).
I’m pretty sure the last OWL confirmation was a mistake.
1(2) of the W.A. Act (complimented by V(2) of the Charter) only requires Assembly confirmation if the Director is an appointed member of the Cabinet.
I’d also agree that the Director is not removed unless dismissed by the Prime Minister or recalled.
Also, lordnwahs can be both Chair and Director, but only if they are not also appointed to the Cabinet, per VII(1–2) of the Charter.
Cryo he had a vote the past two times. So he keeps having a vote anyway
Pronoun did not appoint Nwahs as a Cabinet member, so it’s unnecessary to hold a vote for him.
