October 2024 Chair of the Assembly Resolution

A resolution to adopt BlockBuster2K43 as Chair of the Assembly

Whereas the Assembly, under Article 2.2 of the Legislative Procedure Act, is directed to choose their presiding officer via resolution;

Whereas the Assembly recognises the noble achievements and increased Assembly infrastructure @BlockBuster2K43 has already accomplished and completed as its current outgoing Chair, and Deputy Chair before that;

Whereas the Assembly thoroughly debated the merits of various potential candidates and decided that @BlockBuster2K43 is and remains an excellent presiding officer;

Whereas @BlockBuster2K43 has advanced the Cakeists agenda while steadfastly defending the rights of Pieists, Ice Creamists, and Independent legislators;

Whereas the Legislative Procedure Act only provides for a term of service of no more than 12 months;

Resolved by the Assembly of the South Pacific that @BlockBuster2K43 is hereby selected and named as Chair of the Assembly until 2025-04-30T23:59:00Z.
