We, the Federation Council of the Lutezzik Federation, in accordance with the Articles of Federation and in defense of our sovereign nation, hereby declare a state of war against the Empire of Yastead.
The unprovoked aggression and incursions into Federation territory, the assault on the Capitol District city of Bethron, the execution of our ambassador, and the blatant disregard for peace and diplomacy have left us no choice but to take necessary actions to protect the safety and security of our citizens.
It is with solemn determination that we stand united as one, resolute in our commitment to defend our borders, preserve the sovereignty of the Lutezzik Federation, and safeguard the principles upon which our great nation was founded.

Statement from Chancellor-Regent Zephon on Yaz Missile Strike
Citizens of the Federation,
I stand before you today with a heavy heart and a resolute spirit in the face of adversity. Last night, our nation faced a cowardly act of aggression as eight cruise missiles were launched by Yastead’s Imperial forces at the Endus Barrier Dam in southern Ansson. I want to assure you that we are united in our determination to protect the safety and security of our people.
I am grateful for the swift response of our Esseraki and Federation air defense systems, which successfully intercepted six of the missiles, preventing further destruction and loss of life. However, the remaining two missiles struck the dam, causing significant damage and prompting evacuations downriver. Tragically the strikes injured 14, and killed 2 Energy Department employees working on the dam at the time.
The threat of a dam breach remains very real, and our courageous Federation Civil Defense engineers are working tirelessly to assess the damage and stabilize the structure. Their commitment and expertise are our greatest hope in averting a potential catastrophe. As we address this crisis, I urge all citizens across Southern Esserix and Ansson to remain vigilant and responsive to the instructions of local authorities. Your safety is our utmost priority, and we will leave no stone unturned to ensure your protection.
I understand that many of you are facing hardships, as the damaged dam has disrupted power generation, leaving vast areas without electricity. We are working diligently to restore power as quickly as possible and provide support to those affected by this unfortunate event. Nuclear power stations near the affected areas are activating backup reactors to compensate for the dam being dysfunctional.
Let us not forget that we are a resilient nation, forged by the spirit of unity and cooperation. Together, we will overcome this challenge and emerge stronger than before. We will stand firm against any act of aggression and protect the principles that define us as a nation.
