Ahh, free speech. A much debated topic. I thought I would take a stab at writing something here regarding free speech, or the First Amendment in the United States.
Free speech. I like it. Yes, it’s important. But it can turn down a dark corner. A very dark one.
Free speech should be valued, but when it becomes hate speech, it shouldn’t. I believe in the right to speak up, dissent, protest, assemble, the right to religion, and the free press. Those are fundamental values of the United States. It’s the first amendment of the Bill of Rights.
However, especially in recent years, the concept of free speech has been used for hate speech. And that’s what I don’t like. In fact, I strongly dislike it.
I’d like to hear anjo’s opinion on free speech (and free speech in Germany), especially because I believe they are a law student.
I’m only loosely familiar with the Dragonball stuff because my friend really liked it, and I’ll watch it eventually, but half of the options feel like random words you happened to choose :\
