2023 Srona Peace Accord
Preamble
In recognition of the devastating consequences of the conflict that has plagued our nations and the sincere desire for a lasting peace, the representatives of the Yastead Empire and the Lutezzik Federation hereby come together to establish a framework for a tentative peace accord. This accord aims to bring an end to hostilities, promote mutual understanding, and pave the way for a harmonious coexistence between our nations.
Article 1: Cessation of Hostilities

1.1 Both parties shall immediately cease all forms of hostilities, including military actions, within their respective territories and along the shared border.

1.2 A demilitarized zone shall be established along the border, monitored by neutral observers and peacekeeping forces, to prevent any potential reescalation of tensions.
Article 2: Establishment of Diplomatic Channels

2.1 Formal diplomatic relations shall be reestablished between the Yastead Empire and the Lutezzik Federation, including the exchange of ambassadors to facilitate open and constructive communication.

2.2 Both parties commit to addressing their concerns and grievances through diplomatic means, negotiations, and peaceful dialogues.
Article 3: Reparations and Reconstruction

3.1 The Yastead Empire and the Lutezzik Federation shall collaborate on a comprehensive plan for the recovery, reconstruction, and rehabilitation of war-affected regions.

3.2 Humanitarian assistance and relief efforts shall be extended to support the affected populations, regardless of nationality.
Article 4: Truth and Reconciliation

4.1 A joint Truth and Reconciliation Commission shall be established to investigate and document the human rights abuses, injustices, and atrocities committed during the conflict.

4.2 The Commission shall provide a platform for victims to share their experiences and seek redress, while also fostering understanding and forgiveness.
Article 5: Self-Determination and Autonomy

5.1 The parties acknowledge the aspirations of the Yastead population for greater autonomy.

5.2 A legally binding referendum shall be held in Yastead to determine the level of autonomy and self-governance desired by its people.

5.3 The Yastead Empire acknowledges the right of certain regions within its territory to exercise greater autonomy and self-determination.

5.4 The Lutezzik Federation shall respect the decisions of the Yastead Empire regarding the governance and administration of these autonomous regions.
Article 6: Border Management and Trade
- 6.1 Both parties shall work collaboratively to establish mechanisms for efficient border management, ensuring the smooth flow of goods, people, and services.
Article 7: Oversight and Implementation

7.1 A Joint Oversight Committee shall be established, composed of representatives from both parties, to oversee the implementation of this accord and address any arising challenges.

7.2 The Committee shall have the authority to propose amendments and adjustments to ensure the accord’s effectiveness and relevance.
Article 8: Duration and Termination

8.1 This tentative peace accord shall come into effect upon the signing of both parties.

8.2 Either party may withdraw from this accord by providing written notice with a six-month notice period.
In witness whereof, the undersigned representatives of the Yastead Imperium and the Lutezzik Federation have affixed their signatures to this tentative peace accord on this 27th day of August, in the year 2023.
